Easy to assemble. Very nice look. Plug and play operation. The flame effect has a dimmer to set the mood of the fire display. It can be used with zero heat, 1000 watts of heat, or 1500 watts of heat. Not a grand amount of heat overall, as it gives off about as much heat as a good hair dryer but still nice in a smaller room to knock off the chill.

Just set it up and it looks nice and so far it's been working well. Nice to have additional heat in our old country farmhouse living room. The heat blowing from the top is better than the old unit blowing from the bottom.

I gave this item a 4 star review, only because the remote didn't work. The companysent me another remote and I put a new battery in and it still doesn't work. It will work once in awhile, but I pretty much have to turn it on and off manually. Otherwise it is very pretty with the color changing flames and warms up the room.

Created a sitting room/reading area in basement but too chilly at times.This adds the perfect ambiance and warmth allowing me to comfortably use the space.Approximately 12 x 12 room

It fits in a small place and blows a nice amount of warm air. Can turn heat off and just see flames. I like that there is glass or whatever that material is, on the side so you can see flames from side.

LOVE the looks, the adjustable flame speed and color, as well as the firewood. LOVE the 3 sided glass, it's styling. LOVE that the heat comes out near the top and dispuses well. HATE that it doesn't adjust as it claims it does specifying the temperature range adjustable. IT ONLY DOES ON LOW/ON HIGH/OR OFF. Okay you can set a timer to turn the whole thing off in hour increments, but as a heater, roast or freeze, or use in an auditorium sized room where it won't matter. Will give it a day deciding. Buy/use another heater with a t-stat to heat, and this electric fireplace for decor???

The media could not be loaded.  This is a nice looking unit. Quiet fan puts out a nice amount of heat low to the floor where it is needed the most. Fireplace looks real and the flames are fairly realistic. Like that you can also see the logs and flames from the side. Reasonable price for this unit.
