Replacement for a weight bag I dropped

I used this in the Maldives in some strong current and it worked great. I attached the clip to the ring and put my hand through the loop, never having to clip it to my BC. Couldn’t do that with a reef hook attached to a thin line or wire. Quality is great and having its own bag is a bonus. I highly recommend it.

Great weight system with an effective locking mechanism. The pockets are sturdy and built to last. Just make sure to listen for the ‘click’…and you won’t need to buy a replacement!.

Had to replace 4 of these weight pockets on our two Aqualung Zuma BC’s due to the rubber handles deteriorating. I can’t complain too much as the BC’s are ten years old and still going strong, but the weight pocket handles deteriorating was the only weak point in the design. Aqualung has redesigned these to get rid of the rubber and replace it with hard plastic and heavy duty nylon web.You can see from the photo the crack in the rubber on my old weight pocket at left. The new one is on the right. They fit perfectly just like the old ones. I don’t foresee any problems with this new design, and it looks like they fit many different Aqualung BC’s. If you have had problems with the rubber disintegrating in the past, you can rest assured that it is no longer a problem on these Aqualung weight pockets.

Good substitute for large weight pockets on Black Ice BCD which has pockets that don't accept hard weights. Big mistake by Apeks for such a good BCD. The pockets it comes with take a lot of weight but only soft weights. So for travel to warm water diving you don't need much weight and they only use hard weights at the resorts. Use these pockets which accept hard weights. Problem solved. BTW I emailed Apeks n Aqualung about the problem. Surprise......never heard back. Great customer service, NOT!!

Just what the doctor ordered after getting poor service direct from Aqualung despite a recall for the early type with rubber handles.

This is a longer version of the one that came with my BC (AL Pearl). Which is perfect as it now fits two weights long-ways rather than before, whereby two didn’t quite fit.Will be ordering another 👌🏽
