Usinger's All Beef Summer Sausage 10oz (Pack of 3)

I have lived in Wisconsin in the past and have always loved Usinger's summer sausage. I have ordered from Usinger's in the past but this came so quickly. All three of the sausages were delicious! I can buy summer sausage where I live now but it never tastes as good. I will order more from here in the future!

Used to go with my parents to the German meat deli as a kid every few weeks in the 1960's and was always given a sample as I waited, a real treat. This summer sausage brought back those memories in full. Fresh, smoked beef with the firm texture I had come to expect, and was not disappointed.A bit pricy, but since I can't get it locally it is what it is. Will order again.

Bought in June 2023 & embarrassed that I didn't ask for a refund b/c each summer sausage was half green -- almost identical color/shape to green section on each sausage. Something must have gone wrong w/production, packaging, or handling. We didn't eat it, of course. We took pictures and sent into the void at Amazon. I knew I should have called to get a refund, but I didn't have time. Have never purchased since. On previous orders, I appreciated that the sausage was all beef, but it was definitely NOT great summer sausage. Way too greasy and seasoning was more like Italian sausage, sort of . . . just odd flavor. Pre-pandemic, when I ventured into stores more often, I went to nice delis that sold great beef summer sausage. It shouldn't be greasy and the flavoring is subtle -- not overly oregano/rosemary-ish like Usinger's. But on Amazon, there are not a lot of great options for beef summer sausage . . . and none that are priced at $5-6 per sausage, which is what they SHOULD be priced at. $10-13 for a summer sausage is absolutely outrageous.
