Amazing in pretty much every way but one.
First things first, the knife is incredible quality and the materials used is top notch. Miguron make insane value for money knives. The handle profile is mostly slim with no clear placements for your fingers which offers a lot of ergonomic freedom. Knife came very sharp, the grind was even and the blade is pretty thin behind the edge so for you sharpeners out there, this is great. Action is snappy, lockup solidity is great, blade came perfectly centered. Now, the front flipper leaves something to be desired. The issue is if you're opening the knife with your right hand, your fingers have a tendency to land on the lock bar which adds pressure to the detent and causes it to be pretty tough to open. I wear a size S glove to take that with a grain of salt.Overall beautiful knife but unfortunately wasn't for me.

Beautiful blade
High quality craftsmanship. Sleek design, minimal branding and excellent steel. Really impressed, had never heard of the brand and bought on a whim but will definitely be buying more.

Maybe rethink the pocket clip
This knife is absolutely beautiful and incredibly well built with ultra smooth action and a solid lock up. HOWEVER, the pocket clip is incredibly tight and sits right on top of the lockbar relief cuts, meaning this will be a pain to get in and out of the pocket and absolutely chew threw your pocket seams.

Fantastic knife!
Miguron is consistently putting out knives that are in the highest echelons of quality at incredible pricing. I started out by buying what I think are the best budget knives in the industry. After every single one of those arrived flawless. I began to wonder, what could these guys produce for a hundred or two. I found out. I’ve since bought two of their premium knives and found them to essentially be indistinguishable from knives I’ve bought for far more money. Now I’m hot for the Mero, which I’m confident will be purchased sometime this month. I can hardly wait! I imagine their super-premium knives will be truly extraordinary. They’re currently out of my reach, but I do have a birthday in five months, and unless I’m struck dead with wonder over some unknown new knife, Miguron will take my money yet again—with my thanks and gratitude! It’s a whole different kind of company than what I—or you—are used to. Some companies are absolutely soaking us—I’m looking at you, Benchmade and Spyderco and others. Still want to be able to buy a bargain? Shop Miguron and never look back.

Fantastic quality
The media could not be loaded. Love this knife.I own one other "premium" Miguron (AM8) knife. Bought it late last year. It's very nice, but this model feels like a step up in quality. The front flipper works very well; perfect jumping. If you've never used a front flipper, it may take some practice, but this is a good one to learn on.The titanium handle is contoured and the diagonal milling lines give great traction. The blade is M390 which is a very high quality powdered stainless steel. One of the only things I'd like different about this knife is an hrc of 61-62 instead of miguron's listed 59-61.My other gripe is, the lock bar cutout is right under the pocket clip. It wants to grab your pocket seam when youre putting it in and out of your pocket. Not bad on normal jeans though.Build quality and materials are top notch. I have a bunch of knives in similar materials and price and this one is to there with the best of them. The crowned spine on the blade is very cool.Arrives with a good edge. T8 screws all around. Not much to complain about.Considering the price, this is a 5 star knife in my opinion.

It's not you, it's me--I Just Can't Master This Front Flipper
Oh how I wanted to love this knife! It is absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous lines, feels great in the hands, super-premium blade steel and titanium scales. It is simply fantastic. With one exception: The front-flipper opening mechanism. (And I'll note that the listing and photos are clear in showing exactly how this knife is designed.)To be clear, this knife style and, indeed, the Akri model is well established, and you can go on youtube and watch people deftly flicking their Akris open with thumb or forefinger with nary a hitch. There's nothing wrong with the front-flipper design, or the Akri model. In fact, there are those who prefer the front-flipper over other styles. The actual problem--and the reason I only give three stars, is that there is no secondary opening mechanism. There is no thumb stud or even nail nick to assist with opening. And the blade is so sleek and nicely radiused along the spine that it is virtually impossible to get a pinch grip on the blade. So it's pretty much front-flipper or nothing.Along with that, the design of the frame lock and the tolerances of the detent are such that even the slightest pressure on the liner lock mechanism engages the detent so firmly that the blade feels like it is glued shut. And unfortunately, the frame lock mechanism is right where my fingers go to grip when I'm trying to open the knife. It took me over a week of trying to figure out that I was creating an obstacle for myself merely by holding the knife in a secure grip for opening. Again, many others have no problem with this aspect--but I do.Regarding the detent: I do find it hard to break the grip of the detent even without pressure on the lock mechanism. It's like I can get the knife open and then open and close the blade several times, and if I try to flip the blade open IMMEDIATELY after the final close, it will swing open relatively easily. But if I let the blade "settle in" in the closed position for even 20 seconds or so, it feels like it is locked in place, and I often can't break it free even using two hands.I understand that the detent is there to keep the knife from opening accidentally, and it does its job in this case, but I'm simply unable to break the grip using only the flipper.I won't minimize my role in this dysfunctional relationship: I am not a super-experienced knife guy. Most of my knives are Kershaw or CRKT or Civivi, and I've never had or tried a front-flipper before--with practice and experience, I might unlock the secrets. But I've literally worn my finger and thumb raw over the course of 8 days, and have made no progress. I also find that the front-flipper on this knife is so low-profile (less than 1/2 inch from the pivot) that there is very little leverage to get the blade to release from the detent.Another aspect is that my 63-year-old hands are a little arthritic, and the rotational movement required to work a front-flipper--ANY front flipper--are going to be challenging. So even with a knife with an easy detent and a lock design that makes it hard to hold the knife while opening, the front-flipper style is simply not suitable for me.So it really breaks my heart that this knife is not going to become a part of my carry rotation due to both my own limitations and the knife's design elements that make it unfriendly TO ME.For someone with the dexterity and hand strength to manipulate the action, this is a five-star knife. But for me, this is just a relationship that isn't going to work out, and it breaks my heart. If I can find a similar-styled knife from this company with a finger-flipper instead of front-flipper design, I will definitely be interested.

Sharp!
The best of my best. Sharp in more ways than one. M390 steel and titanium scales, liner lock and pocket clip. Action is so smooth it can bring you to tears! More than well worth the money. SHARP!
