If you grew up in the 80's or 90's, you probably collected sports or trading cards. I remember them being so popular and speculative as a kid that price guide magazines were available at newsstands (when print media was a thing) and entire events were dedicated to buying and selling them at convention centers and flea markets. If you are a little younger than I am, you might have had Pokémon or Yu Gi Oh cards. The demand fizzled out for a while, but it seems like the hobby is booming again. We used to have binders with plastic sleeves to house our collections or specially designed cardboard boxes. If you had any that were REALLY desirable, you hermetically sealed them in hard plastic. Some collectors will go as far as getting them professionally graded if you have a really nice example or vendors at the shows would make plaques out of them for display purposes. I always thought that was a bit excessive. I do understand putting your most valuable cards in hard plastic to protect them, however. My point with all of this is that there are a couple of generations of people that have card collections. If you know someone like that and are looking for a nice gift for them, look no further.My buddy is a huge sports fan, and he just bought his first house. He also happens to love sports cards. I lost passion for collecting them years ago but can remember when that way my thing. So, when it came time to get a housewarming gift, I stumbled across this lighted display. I'm happy to report that he loves it. It's been worked into the decorations in his man cave. So, this makes a great gift. This is well built and the LED lighting adds to the effect. It's not crazy heavy, which makes it easy to mount on the wall. I think the hardest part for collectors will be settling on which 9 cards to display.Highly recommend for card collectors.

This display was easy to assemble. It looks great and displays nice. My one complaint is that the remote is not very good at sensing. You have to be perfectly line up to get it to change colors or turn them on/off. I really love the display and using batteries to light the LED lights is great because of no cord but they do not last super long and need to be replaced often. Overall, its not bad and I do like it. Just the remote and batteries I am not a huge fan of.

Shelf is great but led strips showed up broken they don’t light up all the way. The led strip was shorted out where they folded it at the top . Cool idea .

i have a house full of young sports cards collectors and this is a great way to display some of their favorite cards instead of them sitting in a box or bindersuper easy to assemble and love the led light upalways the first things noticed when their friends are overas described and pictured and just a nice thing to have

This product is cool if it worked. My son really wanted 2 of these for his room. I ordered 2 and 1 worked the other did not. You put batteries in and the lights do a quick flash and that's it. I returned and re-ordered a total of 5 of these trying to get 2 that work, I still only have 1. We gave up trying after the 5th one.

My main issue is the LED strip that runs along the side edges. You can see each individual LED chip. Instead of a smooth light it gets off fragmented light. Besides that the build quality is nice. The wood is cleanly cut and has a smooth matte black finish.A serious collector looking to show off his cards may not like this.

I bought this because I like to display my cards except I felt it’s more for young adults and not for serious collectors. The price is high for a young adults, not serious, hobby. But the LED looks cool.
