I tried a clear adhesive protector first but it did not fit my screen well at all, especially in the slightly overlapping case. This one fits my screen without the overlapping case touching it. Very thin margin so covers the whole screen. It also responds better to my finger navigation on the screen.When I opened the box, it appeared too dark but not so in place. Slightly dark due to the privacy darkening angles technology; but I just turned up my brightness on tablet and it works well. I'm not a spy or government hacker so I don't need privacy feature, which basically darken view from side angles.This works for me. No drawbacks except for fingerprints which I have to wipe off, but don't show when screen is lit.

Of course I got this for my tablet and it does have a privacy tint to it. However it only works in One Direction. If you happen to turn your tablet into a vertical the tint no longer hide what's on your screen. When I have my tablet in the horizontal position, looking from the left to right, there's privacy tint. But if I rotate it to the vertical position, looking from left to right, there is no privacy tint. At least on mine. It on works left to right or horizontal. Which means if someone is standing on top/front of u while I have it in the horizontal position, they can see. It should be private no matter the position. I also had to cut it a few time to fit my tablet, even though it said it fits my version. I had to cut it much smaller than the screen itself because the I put on the case, the privacy lifted, leaving huge air pockets, I was constantly smoothing the screen out so that I could tap on it with my hand or use the stylus. The only way it worked better was by cutting it much smaller than the screen and the case to avoid the air pockets.

I ordered this for my Tab S8+, which I use for note-taking in my classes. Initially, I had an off-brand Paperlike screen protector on my tablet, which prevented this privacy screen from magnetically attaching to the screen. Once I removed the Paperlike screen protector, I had no issues attaching it.What I like most about this screen protector is the ability to quickly remove it when it's not needed. It's a super convenient feature. I also appreciate that the tablet still fits in its case with the privacy screen.Unfortunately, with this privacy screen on, the fingerprint sensor becomes unusable.
