Great product
It was great. You will have to seal it when connects to your duct fan, but that's for all products no matter what. The quality of the material is great

Damper fits over an existing 8" output. And has a foam gasket to make it quiet.

FLAWED
It comes with a factory glued gasket and the gasket is what holds the flaps in the closed position, unfortunately the gasket wasnt glued properly and got displaced soon as exhaust was used, causing the flaps to not seal properly.It had one job and it failed at it, relying on a poorly glued gasket to limit the flaps os not a good idea.Need to install own gasket and or limit the travel of the flapa

Fixed at last
I was dealing with a cold air leak in my kitchen which, caused temperature issues for a large portion of the house. I was fortunate to have friend get on the roof and investigate. The solution was the 8 inch damper vent. I was unable to find one locally so went to Amazon and found it almost immediately. It was ordered, arrived quickly, and installed. It has worked perfectly. I am very pleased and would certainly recommend this seller.
