Q: Does this bag smell like petroleum?

Oh my Gosh. Like you my handbag did not stink until yeI sprayed it with fabreeze but that did not help. Now everything I had in my bag stinks to hgh heaven. When I got home last night I put a container of Baking Soda in it and I am waiting a day or so before I check it to see if that got rid of the stench. I was so embarrassed by that smell. I really like the bag and I wads going to buy more in different colors but not now anyway.

Q: Will the front pockets hold a water bottle?

This does not look like the purse I bought, however I will say this mine has a small front pocket that would not hold a water bottle.

Q: Is the double handle strap really long enough to wear over your shoulder?

The strap is absolutely perfect. I wear it over the shoulder.
