Very sharp and lightweight

Was exactly what was advertised. Works real good for finding nails in reclaimed wood. Very sensitive. It even found the pins and rods in my leg.

We are reclaiming lots of pallets for use in several projects. Just purchased a new planner and needed to insure NO NAILS! This wand is very sensitive and works great! It has detected even a small piece of metal in the board. Very good quality. This wand fits all needs; quality, accuracy, easy to hold and good price as well.

I purchased this to find nails in wood. It does a good enough job but anything over an inch it does struggle.

It is very sensitive on high but has an accuracy button that can be turned down and it doesn't pick up things like coins. The beep is loud and it is easy to use and works well. Small, but big enough to use.

It is very cheap.

I can't believe how cheap these have become. When I saw the price I had to buy one because as a woodworker people are always offering me old wood, like flooring or dressers and tables and you never know where the hidden nail is going to be that will ruin you day. I use this not just on old wood, but on wood I get from the mill or the big box store, and I have found metal in 2x4s, fence pickets, and a bullet fragment in some old growth hickory from the saw mill that was not visible to the naked eye. This tool is a game changer for my shop.

I repurpose pallet wood and have nicked my planer blades or chipped saw teeth too many times. In my first dozen uses I have found four or five "hidden" pieces of metal, even in holes I had just where I had pulled nails from. The only "issue" is it is sensitive enough to detect my belt buckle.
