Updated review: It stays up fine and has never fallen down even with windows down at 45mph. It blocks some heat and has eliminated the need fore to move the sun visor above my head on longer drives. The other windows now have noticable heat coming through them, as the ac isn't working as hard. Did take about 5 minutes to install, one of the magnets seems weaker than others, so I moved it, but the loose spot stayed in the same spot, and didn't follow the magnet. Think I'm going to order more manet trim things, but might just put sticky manet tape up there

i love the sunroof for my model y, but its really hot in the sunmer in Florida. so i thought itd be a good investment to get a sunroof shade. so far i think its worth the premium it has over similar products . the shade is of good quantity and the magnets work really well at holding it in place and making the installation easy.

Update on May 22, 2025The seller responded my direct email and they provide an explanation for some of. my complains about the product and due to variation from a car to another they have not able to address the issues. I don't totally agree but do understand .since the product didn't fit in my car they offered a refund. while they were a little late in their responses, the seller pays attention to customer complains and provide help and support therefore I update my rating to be fair.Original Review posted on May 18, 2025I sent two multiple messages to the seller through the Amazon messaging but did not get any response back. I sent an email to their customer support email that was provided with the product packaging, I have not gotten any response back either. The seller advertise this product with false description and promises. It seems they do this on purpose because the does not bother providing any meaningful support for the issues reported to them. This is a big red flag for a seller running a business under Amazon. Upside is Amazon has a great return policy so the seller won't get away with their false advertising but as a customer I wasted good amount of time installing the product, reporting issues and now remove it, pack it and take it to a drop off location which very inconvenient and disappointing.why you should stay away from this product:1- installation is extremely difficult for the two particular places on Model Y. Per installation guide you need to place a magnetic clip at the center of front and rear edge of the sunroof where the roofline trim meets with the surface of the sunroof glass very tight. Trim is very rigid and even your finger nail won't side between trim and the glass to pry the trim down. the plastic trim tool that comes with the shade is too thick that won't get into there no matter how hard you push without causing a damage. You have to use much thinner tool get into there. Even so the provided clips are very thick and stiff to work it into that small gap. it is a quite a bit fighting and push to get in there and once the clips slide in, thickness of the clip causes a visible bump and it won't be sit across the roofline a perfect straight line. I see that many people reported this issue which requires a different clip design for these particular spots but the seller keeps sending the same clips by ignoring the reported fact.2 - the seller advertise this product as Perfect Fit for Model Y which is a lie. it is not a perfect fit. front and rear pieces of the shade overlaps at the center which causes as gap and also causes the the shade fall down if you driving windows down. But esthetic stand point it is not perfect fit. There is no way to get the both pieces meet at the center seamlessly.3 - Quality of the fabric is below average. I'm comparing the quality against a sunroof shade I bought from Basenor for my Model 3. The difference in quality and effectiveness of the fabric is day and night. It is obviously not a double layer fabric for sure. A single layer fabric with a kind of reflective coating on it and it is far being effective.overall this product is not worth to hassle. Now I have to remove all these from my car, removing clips from the front and rear edge is going to another hassle to get it done without causing any damage.bad product and dishonest seller is the worst combination you have to deal with. Look for a better product from a dependable seller

Attaching the magnets was relatively easy, but the fit in the front is not good. On the passenger side of the front piece there is a gap of at least 1/2 an inch. I have tried to reposition it several times and the curve of the front piece just does not conform to the front of the windscreen very well. If there were additional magnets, i think it might fit better. Overall the quality of the product is good, and it does block out a large percentage of the sun.(UPDATED) the seller contacted me and gave me additional installation instructions and now the sun shade fits much better. You have to put your fingers between the front and the back shade and spread the shades out so that they do not overlap. It's not the easiest thing to do, but once you manage it, it presses the sun shade forward and covers up the gap.(Update) 6/2024. Not good with the windows down. It was a beautiful day this past weekend and we went for a drive with the windows down. At any speed over 50mph and the shade comes flying down and flapping all around the inside of the car. Scary and dangerous. Needs additional magnets to really secure it. Wish they were sold. 2 stars now because of this.

The clips were very difficult to install in certain areas. I purchased another 6 clips because I did not believe 6 is enough and I am glad I did. The shade does not meet flush in the middle. The two pieces overlap by about 1/4" to 1/2". The instructions are clear that both pieces will not overlap. Simply not true. The overlap is not a game changer but it would look a bit better IMO.
