Find this a very quick and satisfying meal, very easy and simple to prepare. I enjoy adding other items to this to create very tasty meals. I have used chicken, sausage, shrimp with it. Have added onion, mini peppers in with it and seasoned it with spices. Very tasty and filling meal or used it as a side dish.

absolutely delicious
I made this in my aroma rice cooker and added one sausage link and some Dann'o chipotle seasoning (just a sprinkle as it is strong). The result was absolutely hearty and amazingly delicious and filling, a very affordable dinner for one or as a side dish for a family of 4 or 5. I am so pleased I bought the box of 8. I will definitely buy this again when I run out. It is a healthy, low-fat, delicious, well-seasoned, affordable meal in times when we are all budget-conscious.
