I have owned many knives, but I suspect this will quickly become the favorite for outdoor use.The blade came in excellent shape, no signs of defect, bevels ground evenly, and sharp enough to shave hair from the back of my arm.The tang is THICK all the way to the tip of the blade and along its middle, tapering to a beautiful edge.The knife balances well; and rocks forward with heft at the slight flick of a wrist, which should prove to be a good characteristic for limbing and chopping. The subtle yet efficient hand guard prevents slipping of fingers onto the blade. The jimping is also well thought out and effective, not overly sharp.The sheath is of excellent quality as well. Strong stitching and well tanned, with a little oil, heat, and working by hand; the leather softens nicely.The snaps are strong and well made.This sheath can be set up for both standard drop leg and scout carry.Mv-58 steel has excellent rust inhibitive properties, and is known to hold an edge well.I am looking forward to owning this knife and thoroughly testing its use.Overall very satisfied 9.5/10 would buy againDeducting one half star not for quality but because I believe this knife would have been perfect if they used a superior quality stainless steel like S90Nor SV35N. Although that would drive costs up significantly higher.For the price this is what I believe to be the best all around blade on the market.

There is a lot of bang for the buck on this. Incredibly well balanced knife, and sharp out of the package. We do our own custom leather so it is no surprise about the sheath reviews however, for a factory sheath it is quite adequate and again for the price point of the entire package you really cannot go wrong.

Theres a distinct difference between the endless $20-50 survival knives and this. That different screams at you as soon as you pick this knife up and slaps you in the face as soon as you unsheath it. It is not only stunning but the blade is thick running the full length, heavy, quality handle, sharp, with all the little features you could want. 100 $50 knives isnt worth this one knife.

Knife alone is of excellent workmanship and quality materials. Quite sharp right out of the box. BUT the case is disappointing as the attachment/retaiming leather strapse are attached with single sewing rather than double crisscross stiching..very very thin leather on this area especially when one considers the loss or not loss of this knife depends on this dismal attachment.

This is a tough knife! It can take a beating! It’s also an excellent chopper for being a knife. You can even use it to for minor digging. The handle is comfortable and they’ll give you a new knife if you ever break it. It’s made for extreme environments.

I had been looking at this knife for about a year. I had a little extra cash so I bought it all I can say is wow. It is well built. I used it out of the bow to split a log Nd do some basic rope cutting and other basic things to get a feel for it. So happy. It replaced the other knife I used in my hike pack. Sheath also well made. It is sharp out of the box though I did sharpen it more because of my personal preference. I would buy again but it is so well made I doubt I will ever have to.

Wow is all I can say. I have a fairly large collection of knifes and this one I love the most. Love the weight fit and function of the knife.

Great overall bushcraft knife with great overall value to cost ratio.

Auf der suche nach einem guten Outdoor/Bushcraft Messer bin ich beim Spanischen Explorer fündig geworden.Das Messer liegt super in der Hand auch mit grossen Händen einfach nur Top.Das Messer hat die richtige klingen Länge um Holz zu spalten, auch das kopflastig Eigengewicht ist prima um Holz hack arbeiten zu tätigen. Die 5mm Messer dicke eignet sich super um auch mal mit einem Ast auf dem Messer rücken zu schlagen um Hack arbeiten auszuüben.Die klinge ist gut geschärft könnte aber schärfer sein.Der Griff liegt prima in der Hand und ist rutschfest.Die Verarbeitung ist einfach nur KlasseEs gibt ein Manko der obere Druckknopf der das Messer in der Scheide hält lässt sich schwer öffnen,und beim herausziehen des Messers kann es zu Kratzern kommen wenn man es schnell aus der Messer Scheide zieht.Alles im allem ein super Messerhier ein link zu dem Messer Video:[...]

Si presenta come un oggetto di fattura industriale: non ben rifinito.Il design (punto di vista prettamente soggettivo) bello e imponente, una manicatura abbastanza comoda anche se "tagliata con l'accetta".Il punto dolente di questo oggetto è la lama. Da un coltello con un tagliente così particolare ci si aspetta una affilatura da rasoio...è in grado a malapena di tagliare la carta.All'atto pratico, non è un oggetto adatto all'uso outdoor: difficile da affilare, poco utile nell'utilizzo reale.In conclusione: Bell'oggetto da collezione, nulla più.

Als Hobby-Messer-Sammler weiß ich natürlich, dass es deutlich hochwertigere Stähle und noch bessere Verarbeitung gibt. Dann zahlt man aber das Doppelte oder Dreifache. Jedoch gemessen am Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gibt es hier kein Deut zu meckern. Fürs Geld bekommt man ein tolles Messer, bei dem auch mal richtig Kraft angewendet werden kann. Schliff und Schärfe sind in Ordnung. Die Griffschalen machen einen hochwertigen Eindruck. Das Messer liegt trotz seines Gewichtes sicher und gut in der Hand. Auf nach draußen und Freude am belastbaren Teil.

Lo utilizzo durante le escursioni e devo dire che è molto comodo e bello. Piccolo appunto: appena arrivato va portato in coltelleria per essere affilato, dopodiché diventa un rasoio. Si può portare sulla cinghia dei pantaloni grazie al saldo fodero anti taglio, inoltre è impossibile smarrire il coltello che rimane ben saldo al fodero. Ve lo consiglio.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit diesem Messer, es liegt gut in der Hand, der Griff ist wunderbar strukturiert, das untergelegte rote Micarta, unter dem elfenbeinfarbenen, macht einen gefälligen Eindruck. Der Stahl lässt sich nach dem Schleifen gut mit einem Leder abziehen und hält diese Schärfe auch über längere Nutzung. Ich würde das Messer nicht nur wieder kaufen, sondern es auch weiterempfehlen.
