This has to be one of the best Christmas presents I could’ve gotten for my six-year-old daughter. She has always wanted to help out in the kitchen, but for safety reasons it was always limited but not anymore. Now that she has this Montessori cooking kit, she is going to be able to help in the kitchen whenever she likes. The knives are kid friendly because they don’t cut skin, however when cutting food items, it cuts very well. I do wish they had different color options. However, for the cost, it was well worth it! The cutting boards are very thin, and the knives aren’t very bulky so it’s easy to store everything in a drawer. I would recommend this for anyone who has children that enjoy helping out in the kitchen.

My three year old grandson loves to cook and bake. He was very excited to receive this set and uses it frequently to help in the kitchen. It's surprising the wide variety of fruits and vegetables these tools can cut. He can make decorative sandwiches and cut dough designs to top pies and cobblers. Everything is well made and should serve him and his little brother after him.

Child loves the independence given and the ability to help in the kitchen. I appreciate the safety aspect, the metal ones do appear a little sharper but just monitoring.

This gift was great! for my 5 year old GD who loves helping me in kitchen. I was unsure when buying,but so glad I did! They really cut, but are perfectly safe!!

Another favorite! I bought this as a gift for my granddaughter. She has so much fun helping in the kitchen. The size and weight of the pieces makes this set perfect for her little hands. It cleans up beautifully, and there are no sharp edges. I really wasn't sure how something without sharp edges was going to work, but the pieces function as they should. I'm sure that as she gets older, she will enjoy even more of the set.

First, these my look like toys but they are not. The cut punchs have plastic protection ring on the top and a hole big large enough to put your finger in to knock out the cookie that has just been pressed. But if a finger is under it they will get hurt. We made stars. He just turned 3. I do not recommend letting kids pretend play "kitchen or cooking" with the tools. If you have ever worked with todders you know only bring 3 things out, without them seeing the box. Their hands are quicker than the eye. The cutting mats are textured, we made cookies. I wish it came with a rolling pin. We use a regular size and that did allow give help without getting in their way. The knives seemed to be sharp and have not used them yet. I kept the box for storage, easier to place out of site. Cleaning up is just like regular cookware. The punch shapes cleaned up better with a brush, they are small. I thought perfect size for pie crust decorations.
