This set comes with a lot of different items and it was a good price. It has everything needed for kids to create whatever they like and enjoy themselves. We added a bit too much of the paints to the tray and there isn’t anyway to cover it or put the paints back so it dried up, but if you add what’s needed as you go it won’t be wasted.

Such a fabulous all encompassing kit! Comes with everything described and came quickly.

I needed an art package like this for my daughter's co-op school. This package is perfectly sized for a very small group. I thought it would make a great gift too! Comes with everything you need to begin painting lessons and such a great deal!!

I have worked with art supplies as an artist and a teacher. One of the frustrating things that I found in teaching school was finding art supplies that provided good experience and decent quality but didn't cost too much. Not all kids are artists, but having decent supplies was important to have a chance to discover. This set is a great set for that.HOW THIS COMESThis comes all tucked into a nice box with a carry handle. That means when you are done with it, you can literally put it away in the box carefully and store it on a shelf. If you homeschool that is an important feature to be aware of.PAINTSThe paints are pigmented and a decent quality paint. They cover well and dry easily without cracking or looking chalky. The labels are a bit off from the box to the tubes, and trying to line them up is a challenge, but I always make a swatch list for reference so once you figure it out, you can label the correctly. It is very possible that there will not be enough paint in the colors desired to cover all of the canvases and papers, but it will enable you to supplement with a few extra colors if needed if the art student needs more of them.CANVASESThese canvases are pretty nice quality and a good size.PAPERThe paper pad is also decent quality and holds the acrylic paint well. The colors come out well on it.BRUSHESI have to say I am pretty impressed by the brushes in this set. Often they skimp on brushes in beginner sets, but these are really nice and easy to use.STANDI LOVE THIS STAND. It is compact, easy to store, and use. It does not take up much table space either if you are teaching more than one student at a time. Also if you get multiple sets you can use them at the same table without overcrowding.PALETTEPalettes are hard to use with acrylics as they harden up so fast, but this is a decent palette. I prefer wet palettes with acrylics, but these work okay for a quick project.KNIVESThe palette knives allow for more textured work.SPONGES AND WATER BOWLI love the water bowl. It collapses but holds quite a bit of water. If there was one improvement I would make it would be to add a disk inside with silicone fingers on it for brush cleaning. They are easy enough to purchase to add to it. The sponges are basic but dense too.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is an excellent kit for a good price if you are a beginner or to use in homeschool classroom or art activities in clubs, etc.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. This one is a winner. For the price you get decent quality and a lot to learn with.

Decent set for a child or beginner. Small tubes of paint but good pigment. Nice variety of brushes (albeit flimsy ones) and palette. Canvases are a bit rough. Unfortunately the paint has a very strong, odd smell that precludes me using it. Even painting outside it was hard to tolerate.

This kit has so much! It would be great for someone just starting out who doesn't have very many paint supplies yet. You get everything you need: paint, paint brushes, paper, canvas boards, table easel, sponges, palette knives, palette, color chart, & a collapsible water cup. Everything is pretty good quality. Certainly not professional quality, but pretty good for beginners, kids, practicing, experimenting, or painting just for fun. I own a lot of other products by NicPro, and they are always of decent quality.
