After searching for some time, I finally found the perfect grower for my organic heirloom tomatoes! This product came very well packaged, was assembled in minutes, and glided out onto the patio with the easy install wheels. The base container is a heavy duty plastic with an insert for soil that drops right into place. The growing cage is adjustable and quickly converted to a choice of 3 different levels, to manage your climbing tomato vines. A unique feature I found with this grower that I didn't see with other similar products, is the automatic watering system. This is such a convenience for those that travel and can't always attend to the watering schedule. And the water gauge gives a quick view to levels in the reservoir and when to refill. It is also an attractive way to plant and harvest your own tomatoes, (or veggies or climbing flowers!), as it looks nice on any patio and keeps the deer, bugs, and other invaders away from the sweet and tasty toms. But even better, you can also use it indoors, as it features a water level regulator plug to keep the reservoir from draining. When used outside, just remove the plug so that rain water doesn't accumulate.I'm looking forward to saving money and enjoying the delicious, healthy and organic tomatoes soon to come with this convenient, quality grower. I love these so much I ended up buying 4 of them! They are a very heave duty plastic and sit in a tray that you fill with water by a place at the top edge of the planter. It shows you when it’s full, such a fantastic idea! They are nice and deep, perfect for tomato roots. The trellis that gets built into it is sturdy and robust. These are extremely easy to assemble and are really nice looking on our deck. It was an investment to buy 4 of these but they should last us a long time. I look forward to having tomatoes on my patio deck.

This is a great planter for a deck or small area, perfect size for a couple of tomato plants. I like the water gauge that lets you know if it is low on water. It was easy to put together and looks great. I would recommend d taping the trellis, though - the pieces want to pop out if it is moved around a lot. Other than that, holds up well and works great.

It’s lightweight and holds a lot of soil. Tomato plant should do well. The only thing I do not like is the trellis connectors will not stay put. They keep popping open.

These planters are built very nicely and super easy to put together. I do really like these even though I’m only rating it at a three star review out of five. The reason for the low rating is because the price point is high, creating less value for your money and I would have expected a lot more features at this price point. The features I do really love about this is the built-in trellis, the self watering base, adjustable water level setting, the optional plug to prevent overwatering, the water level, etc. However, even though the overall quality of the self watering planter is really well-made the water level indicator is not very well-made. It comes apart frequently and gets stuck. Now to the cons and added features I would have expected at this price point:1. I would have liked to see the planter a little large in size as it can’t fit a garden measure tool for spacing. Even just an extra inch or 2 would have been perfect.2. An included reusable and durable cover or similar to create a greenhouse effect with venting. Like plastic that could have been attached to the trellis.3. Built-in watering system that can be connected to each other and then connected to a water supply either manual or automatic. Even though the directions say that you can plant a seed and water until it sprouts I found this to be inaccurate. As I needed to water frequently until the sprout had strong roots and pulling water from the base, which took about 6/8-ish weeks. Due to the lack of water source at the top of the surface the plants lacked the ability to grow strong roots and it stunted the growth. I ended up having five plants die and/or stunted growth.

I absolutely love this planter! The design is beautiful and it’s very sturdy. Took 3 mins to put together. The reservoir works perfectly. Planted 2 cherry tomatoes 2 weeks ago and they are so healthy!! I am very pleased with this purchase and am making room to buy a second!!!
