Fun little bass - perfect for beginners
Nice little bass for beginners. Good value for the money. Guitar neck is a bit shorter than I expected and no cutout makes it a stretch to play upwards of the 12th fret or so. Love the sound and very fun to play. Looks nice and has built in tuner on board that works nicely and I was playing it within minutes out of the box. There are tiny knobs for bass, treble, volume when you connect to an amp. I would think that a pro or someone that is playing a lot would want a full size base with a cutout but I am really enjoying playing this bass guitar.

Great sound and very playable.
Great instrument for practicing and playing with a small group of acoustic folks. I play a 4/4 acoustic bass, mostly bluegrass, folk and fiddle tunes, and wanted to learn more patterns and scales. After reading a ton of reviews I thought this was exactly what I was looking for. The dull finish improves the sound significantly over others I have played. Great value, speedy delivery and a built in tuner...Highly recommended.

Nice sounding, quality bass
This acoustic bass has clear sound through an amp especially. As it is of a quite short scale length it is lightweight and actually slightly shorter than my acoustic guitar. The mahogany is beautiful. Just be aware that you can’t throw just any strings in this length of bass; in fact, I wanted to put flatwounds on it but haven’t found any manufactured that will work.

Nice acoustic bass for the money
Pretty sweet little bass guitar. Easy to play with the mini scale neck and has really good tone. It's a bit buzzy but with a bit of neck adjustment it gets better. The E string has slightly different tonal qualities than the others, probably due to the body size and resonance, but still really nice. I am mostly playing it unplugged but it sounds pretty good through an amp although some feed back does occur.

Excellent quality in a "short scale" acoustic bass
I'm a professional musician, although I needed an acoustic bass guitar. I recently pick up this bass for an acoustic bluegrass/country trio. Quality is very nice and I love the "short scale" neck since at 5'5" my arms are rather short. Good acoustic sound, the "E" string is a bit "buzzy" out of the box, but I'm having that taken care of by a guitar tech. This model comes with a built in tuner and internal pick-up. If you plug this little gem into a small amp like my Fender Rumble 25 watt it really comes to life! Very pleased with this bass for the money. Highly recommended for jamming on the deck or playing small venues. Love it!

Faster delivery than anticipated, quality to a beginner
The pick-up quality isn't bad, noise free. Internal tuner is very useful. Feels great in terms of craftsmanship. Good acoustic volume, but naturally, it's still a bass with metal strings. It isn't as loud as a dreadnought guitar, but it's enough to hear on its own or of course, plugged in.

Great
The media could not be loaded. One of the strings was unwound when it arrived, so I couldn’t play it immediately. I would have been pretty mad. Bass strings are 30-40 bucks, but I was planning on changing the stings anyways as I do with any new guitar or bass, so it was whatever, but if I was a beginner, I would have been livid. Once the new strings were on, this thing sounds and plays like a dream. 5 stars for sure. Great sound when slapping, walking, or when playing with a pick. Ibanez does it again with a quality instrument for a great price. And if you wanted to send me a free set of those d’addarios for the bad factory strings, I wouldn’t say no ;)

Vary nice! At the rite price
Craftsmanship I thought was vary nice. Would be great for beginners. Priced just perfect for the product. I would have liked it to have had a longer neck and a bigger body this would be awesome for a child. Sounds great with amp the strings are a little high at the bottom of the fret board but that is an easy fix. For the most part I am vary happy with what I got for the money. It is vary beautiful.
