Nice machine worth the money
I was afraid my husband wouldn't like the mower he finds fault with most things but he absolutely loves it! He says every time he mows this is his favorite mower he has had. One pull and it starts off he goes. Putting it together consisted of putting on the handles and putting in the oil that came with it. Would buy it again but really don't think it be necessary. My only complaint is the warranty never came and I was told I could get it online which is great for the younger generations but not us. Anyway. Would buy again

ZERO STARS
Bewareā¦..Garbage!!!I bought this in late 2023 to put in stock for when my 20 year old lawn mower would finally be put to rest! Iāve repaired my 20 year old lawn mower periodically over the years! In Spring of 2023 I needed another part - found one last part on EBay ⦠so I decided to buy this new mower and put it in stock so when the day would come and I wouldnāt be able to get parts anymore for my 20 yr old mower - Iād have this new yard force mower and not lose a beat! Well that day came last week (4/18/25)ā¦. I opened the box - assembled the mower handle - added oil and gas- put on the bag grass catcher - started it up with great anticipation ā¦went two lengths on the lawn with the mower and the stupid belt came off the rear drive ⦠ugh - really! What a PAIN - most ridiculous design - you have to take the blade off and work from the underside to get it back on. In the future- when removing belt or working on mechanism - can you imagine the crap load of old crusty grass caked on everything! After I put the belt back on - I went two more lengths and it came off again- $@&$@Boy was I upset! Went through all the trouble to put the belt back on - did it again and again (4 times)ā¦this mower design is a piece of ______ !In addition to that - the bag grass catcher is a lousy fit - while cutting - grass is blowing out all the edges like it leaks! I regret purchasing this mower! Iām 67, Iāve had 3 mowers in all my years - and they all were satisfactory- some even terrificā¦. But this yard force is TOTAL GARBAGE!The bummer is I bought it in late 2023 and just now in April 2025 am using it - so Iām presuming Iām stuck with it šā¹ļø

Very well built!
Extremely well built very heavy for a push mower. The only thing that was wrong with the hole experience was the box was torn up and somewhere along the way the oil for the motor was lost so I had to go out and purchase oil before I could use the mower. You can never go wrong with Briggs & Stratton. They are the best when it comes to push mower motors. And I have over 30 years experience in landscape and lawn care.

Much better than expected.
The media could not be loaded. I'd give this mower five stars, but let's keep it real...If you require the power of a gasoline or corded electric mower, this machine isn't for you and I understand why some folks might give it poor marks. That said, let me explain why I like this machine and recommend it if your needs are similar to mine.I have a dense TifTuf bermuda. I couldn't sustain the strength needed to push my manual reel mower through it. It would grab or scallop and it was too heavy to use on a slope. The Yard Force machine looks, feels and sounds like a toy. It is not self-propelled but light and easy to push and maneuver. It will only trim a few millimeters of dense lawn at a time but leaves a nice evenly manicured look. If it starts to bog down, I simply slow my forward progress. On my first mow, I left the cutting height at the default 38mm (1 1/2 inches). The 1.5Ah battery lasted 20 continuous minutes and got me through approximately 400 square feet of turf. Slow, but I never broke a sweat. If it bogged down, I just restarted it and slowed down. The RPMs noticeably drop as the battery nears exhaustion. The first battery was fairly hot when I swapped it for the included second. The machine did power through a small area of tall fescue with no problem at all.Because it can only crop a modest amount of bermuda height, I anticipate needing to mow at least twice a week. For me, that's a reasonable trade off for not having to wrestle with the push mower. BTW, the suggestion that the machine can operate as a manual mower without a battery is fantasy. This mower is the only game I found at this price point. I can no longer buy a gas mower in California and there aren't any heavy duty battery powered reel mowers on the market. Those on the horizon are predicted to cost four figures.According to the seller, spare batteries can be purchased. They don't correspond to any I have for my other cordless power tools. Do read the instructions carefully, paying particular attention to the starting procedure. (Tip the machine slightly and let it reach full RPMs before engaging with the lawn.)ProsInexpensiveEasy assemblyLight and maneuverableNice even trimConsUnderpoweredSlow, thin shavesDurability unknown
