It’s a floor mat, not a rug. It’s printed, no weave or texture that a rug would have. At the price it’s a little high for a floor mat. For me I purchased this for use at a kitchen sink, not having a low pile rug is good, this will clean easier, might even be able to run a mop over it for quick clean up. I like the color and the pattern and that there’s no texture for stuff to get caught up in. Still price a little high for stamped out floor mat.

I searched high and low for a machine washable large area rug to replace my previous rug in this space (not particularly easy to wash) which I could no longer get completely clean from the stains and odors my 2 puppies left. I found most washable rugs to be $400-$500 plus $100-$150 for a rug pad go underneath. Additionally, the machine wash rugs were seemingly all neutral and/or muted colors (I assume to prevent fading from washing?)Because of the neutral couch, walls, etc in this room and the kitchen it opens up to, I really needed something with color. This rug is a beautiful color and highly pigmented! I don’t know how this will stand up to washing in the machine (or if it’ll fit in my regular sized washing machine) but so far I’ve shampood it and spot cleaned it with no problems! I’m sure it’ll fit in the larger laundromat wash if needed for an occasional full clean, and it’s not too heavy and easy to roll up so I don’t think it’ll be a hassle to transport for an occasional wash. Messes and spills are easy to pick up, and it looks brand new after! (It’s not a “distressed” color pattern but the color is slightly varied throughout unlike a solid colored rug that might show an outline of where it was spot cleaned etc.) It also doesn’t require the additional purchase of the rug pad underneath! If you flip the rug over you’ll see that there is a rubber layer under the rug, so not only does this prevent the rug from slipping and sliding, it also ensures that when I do shampoo it, no water is reaching the hardwood floors. Many of the “washable” rugs I found prior to this one were indoor/outdoor and I questioned how they would feel underfoot even though my first priority was cleaning. Although this rug is thin (of course, hence the machine wash) it does not feel straw-like or mat-like. It feels surprisingly soft under your feet despite being low pile!I searched for SO long for something easy to clean, with color and somewhat reasonably priced and I am thrilled with my purchase! This rug was better than I expected and I would highly recommend it — especially if you’re worried about cleaning up after pets or children. It didn’t come in an 8x10 like I previously had in this space but I happily sacrificed a few inches on each side with the largest size of this rug offered which was 7’6” x 9’6”. Would absolutely purchase this brand again!

Absolutely love the look of this rug. Beautiful color and striking pattern. And I'm thrilled it is machine washable. BUT, no matter what I do, this rug want's to migrate. I've used two different types of anti-skid liners and the darn thing still has to be repositioned daily. Very frustrating! It is sitting on a not-slippery tile floor. If you're not worried about this, then I would consider it an excellent rug.
