Pigments, not underglaze
You will need to add a frit to brush these or use them in nerikomi clay. All worked at cone 06

Burns out
Burns out by cone 6. Added to both clay and slip. Total waste of money.

Lovely color, but not as pictured.
Powder underglaze is pretty straightforward. If you know what it is and are ordering it; chances are, you know what to do with it.It's nice and smooth so you can do some pretty intricate design work without worrying about grainy clumps. The only reasons I gave it less than 5 stars are: 1. Nothing worthwhile on the table. Most indicate color name or number, compatability, cone, and simple instructions. This label is literally worthless; Brand name, catch phrase, size... the end.2. The color is totally misrepresented in the listing pictures. It's a lovely grass green but someone overexcited the pictures to make them look way more vibrant than real life....Which was my motive to order!! I've never seen such a bright green underglaze and was excited 😞 it's basically the same lovely grass green I already have several of.It's good underglaze, just not the best marketing.

Beautiful color
This underglaze powder is great and really nice to work with. You just mix it with water or another liquid to get it ready. I use it for adding color under the glaze and for making colored clay. The color comes out bright and mixes easily, so it’s simple to use. It’s perfect for adding some extra color to my ceramics.

This is a powder that must be mixed with water or a medium made for this.
Ceramic Glaze, Grass Green Ceramic Underglaze Paint Colors for Clay, 4 Ounces Underglaze for Ceramics and Pottery Painting, Ideal for Art Projects (Grass Green, 4 oz)First impressions: Nice jar of green powder. The green is a nice bright color. The powder is very messy so be prepared when you open the lid. (I got powder everywhere). The color is not marked on the jar, so if it matters to you, you should mark it. I have more than one color from them so I wrote it on the lid with a silver sharpie. I will want to know when I want to reorder.Installation/setup: Mix your powder with water or an underglaze medium (sold separately). Start with a 1:1 ratio of powder to water or medium, then adjust as needed. Generally, for most underglazes, you'd want a consistency similar to heavy cream. Always test a small amount first! You can apply underglaze with a brush, a squeeze bottle, or by splattering. When applying multiple coats, start with lighter colors and work your way to darker colors. Line work should be the top layer and may require three coats. One tip is to place your pottery on a banding wheel so you can turn it while you work instead of having to lift the piece. Clean your brushes and be sure to rinse your brush well when switching colors.Final thoughts: I was going to wait until I had used this to make this review, but seriously, It’s important to know that an underglaze final color will change depending on the clay it’s used on and the glaze you’ll pair it with. Some clear glaze won’t be compatible with your clay, your underglaze, or both. Most clears containing zinc will not work with reds and browns, sometimes greens. Some clear glaze recipes will make my blacks runny and smudge most colors. Really, you won’t know for sure until you try it yourself. I can test these and show you my results but that won’t tell you how it will work for you. It also could take me several firings over weeks to come up with a satisfactory combination. All I can say is be sure to test your combination for yourself before you use this on your art and possibly ruin your piece.More information: The mixed underglaze is applied to dust-free and grease-free bisque ware or greenware. Underglazed pottery can be covered with a clear or transparent colored glaze or left unglazed for a more matte finish. Powdered underglazes can be used to color glaze, clay bodies or slips, just like stains, but sometimes it doesn’t work so be aware, and again, test. So, commercial underglazes are essentially well-formulated, consistent engobes (colored slips made of stain+clay and conditioners). Mixing them into clay may just dilute them, possibly quite unfavorably since they’ve been carefully balanced to give good color with just enough stain. Unlike glazes, underglaze colors can be mixed together to create new colors. Powdered underglaze colors will last forever if stored in a dry air tight container.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

I am not quite sure how to use this product
When mixed with water this underglaze has a great pigmentation, however when it dries it goes back to being the powdered substance and does not stay on very well. I ended up wiping most of it off and recovering it with liquid underglaze. I was nervous when covering what was left of the powder with clear, but it didn't come off onto my clear glaze brush so I was grateful. It did have a really neat effect after the glaze firing, but I don't know how often I will want to deal with the mess of it.
