Fabulous little chamfer plane that's easy to use and sharpen. I especially liked the recessed holder for containing all the additional blades, and how easy it is to insert/remove the active one for resharpening. Fits my hand like a glove too!

Excellent piece of kit and far superior to a cheaper one I was given for the job. Really works great but you do need to take your time and get a feel for the material you’re working with. The different blades are well stored in the body. The tool is nice and heavy and ergonomically shaped. The adjustment of the blades is very accurate and efficiently measurable on the gauge as you work. One negative, the metal is not sealed with and will leave a residue on wood as you work. It needs a good wipe as you go.

This is a great little tool that fits right in your hand! The blades are sharp out the box, and there is a handy blade storage under the handle! I've tried this tool on pine and walnut and works great on both. The only thing I would say is other branded tools have more blades for a bit more money which may be better value than this , but I can't comment that one's performance.

I originally bought the slightly more expensive item that has many reviews. I returned that item twice, first because a screw was sitting proud and the next because a loose screw did not even screw in, poor quality control. On receiving this item I was impressed immediately by the quality of build, far better than the one I returned. The blades are very robust and sharp out of the box and the additional blades are conveniently housed in the body of the tool. The cutting is also far better that the other item. I would strongly recommend this tool for any level of woodworker.

Great little chamfer plane. Good weight, easy to hold and a selection of bits hidden in the handle. Perfect!

Just got this tool yesterday. My word has this saved me time. Have been making wooden bases for birthday numbers for the family. Up to now I have been using a file to chamfer the edges which was taking forever. Have just done eight bases in the time it would have taken me to do one. As someone said before on product review, take your time and increase by small increments. The only issue I had was every now and then I could not remember which way to turn the knurled nut, put that down to my age. Good tool, good value for the money, very easy to use.

This is a really handy little tool. Used it for edging my batons on shaker-style wardrobe doors, and it's done a great job. However, a tip for anyone like me who doesn't use tools like this very often, don't try and do the edges in one go - set the chisel quite high for the first pass, so you just take of half a mm or so, then turn the wheel a half-turn, do another run, and repeat. Also this produces really great fire-lighter whittling!

Ich bin mit dem Kantenhobel von JORGENSEN sehr zufrieden. Zwar bin ich kein Profi-Handwerker, aber aus meiner Sicht erfüllt das Produkt seine Aufgabe hervorragend. Die Klingen sind scharf und schneiden sauber und präzise. Besonders gut gefällt mir die fein justierbare Höheneinstellung der Klinge, die sich mit einer Rändelmutter leicht anpassen lässt. Das Klingenwechseln ist schnell und unkompliziert. Der Hobel selbst ist gut verarbeitet, liegt gut in der Hand und hat ein massives, robustes Gehäuse. Praktisch ist auch das Fach im Handgriff, in dem die Ersatzklingen ordentlich verstaut sind. Nach rund zwei Wochen intensiver Nutzung kann ich sagen, dass ich dieses Gerät für meine Zwecke jederzeit wieder kaufen würde. Eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

Zastanawiam się czy na polski rynek nie trafiają produkty o obniżonej jakości. Po.wadliwych szybkościskach teraz mocno niedopracowany strug. Tylko fabrycznie włożone ostrze ma właściwy wymiar. Wszystkie pozostale nie mieszczą się w prowadnicy. Konieczne było przeszlifowanie boków na papierze ściernym. A funkcjonalnie wygrawerowana miara na ostrzach jest absolutnie niewidoczna więc ustawiać trzeba doświadczalne. Ale kolor obudowy ma ładny. Szkoda, że to nie on "robi robotę".

Well constructed, responsive plane. Not the most necessary tool ever made, chamfering is fairly simple to accomplish without any special tools, but having the tool is always better than not having the tool. The one massive benefit to this is in the general amount of safety provided around the blade. You would have to put some effort into getting cut with this plane compared to other styles and this is absolutely excellent in regards to getting my 5 and 7 year old kids using hand tools. Its not an overly massive chunk of hard to handle steel that offers up cut fingers just from picking it up wrong. They will both be able to handle this safely and get it to work well as a result. This was not the reason I bought it, but after holding it I realized how well it will suit this task. Ill surely use it as well, it does work quite nicely and its bright orange. Easy to spot tools always have a decent chance of being used frequently when other things become invisible for some reason in the shop. Out of the box the blades are good and sharp. We all know that nothing is ever sharp enough and the first thing you will do is take the blades to stone no matter how much it cost or how well it cuts. Its okay, we all do it. But, in the mean time they cut clean and smooth. The unit is machined well and the adjustment wheel is smooth and responsive. It fits comfortably in the hand both as a push and a pull plane. The grooving is smooth and even, so it cuts a symmetrical chamfer. Its bright orange. I like it. Sure is better looking than gross yellow. Blades store on board. Good product, good price.
