This thing blows
This is a great fan for my purposes. I use it to exhaust wood staining odor and airborne dust in my workshop. It works great for that. I just crack a window open and turn the fan on at the opposite end of the shop. You can feel the air passing through on its way out like a medium breeze.I applied some polyurethane to a project and 2 people came into my shop and could barely smell anything with this running.The only drawback is that this is noisy, mostly due to its small diameter (8") and the high velocity.

Exhaust fan works well. The attached damper for when off has a weak spring and doesn't shut all of the way when off.

OK fan/Manufacturer offered refund
Plugged in fan on arrival. Fan is way out of balance and loud. I turned it on each of its four sides, nothing changed. Automatic closure worked when positioned correctly and fan turned off.When I shut down the fan for the last time the blades were rubbing the fan housing.I have not taken the time to take apart and see if I can repair.In fairness to the manufacture and so you can buy knowing that you can receive a refund should yours arrive as mine did, I am editing this review to note that the manufacturer contacted me in a timely manor and offered me a full refund.

A quiet fan that circulates a good amount of air
I can't measure the CFM (i.e., cubic feet per minute), but this exhaust fan constantly circulates a good amount of air without the housing getting hot or producing much noise. Of course, the sound the fan produces could get amplified (a lot or none), depending on where you mount the fan. So my two cents here is to test where you decide to mount this fan before making a big hole for it because the look of some surfaces could be deceiving.

all the screws were loose or off realy bad qaulity for the price I paid
