LOVE this stuff! And an excellent quantity for the price - I couldn't pass it up. DFX white is a must have for doing awesome line work with your face painting. When mixed to the right consistency, you get minimal color bleed through, and crisp lines that really pop. Not as great for base or blending, but if you make it a thinner consistency, it could be used for that. It is a wax-based paint, unlike Paradise or Snazaroo. But the wax base also makes it less prone to "cracking" from facial expressions.This is a water based paint - you use it a lot like regular water color paints. Washes off easily with soap and water. No reaction on either myself (I have sensitive skin), or my daughters. No strong odor - smells neutral / pleasant. This is a very large tub, and would last you quite a long time, but worth getting the larger size if you do any regular painting, as white is a color used the most.About me: I am a home schooling mom who has used this to help teach art to my kids, and found myself enjoying face painting almost more than them! It is something I do for fun.I have tried many different types of face paint, looking for quality and safety. I have found it very worthwhile to invest in professional quality paints if you like to face paint at all, as you will not have to worry about the safety issue, and the products are a delight to work with, giving you much nicer results.

This white is the best for under layers. It shows up well

I have primarily used DFX (Diamond FX) in my face and body art kit for over 15 years. I swear by this line.

Used it for Comic Con and the application lasted the whole Comic Con.

This paint is fantastic.I painted my whole face and neck with this stuff. Never broke out (sure my skin was drier due to obvious reasons, and washing it several times, and not using moisturizer etc, etc.. ).You'll want to experiment with various levels of water (start out slow), to get the consistency you want. It will stain some black clothing, but otherwise you should be alright. I wish I understood what the bottom section of the container is for exactly? I'm no makeup artist, so some basic instructions from the manufacturer for us noobs would be nice.
