Foam panels that are easily available online are not that great. I have experimented with them many times, only to end up taking them down due to massive dust collection or spider webs. I live in an apartment where there are fire codes, so I can't even use those panels that are made entirely of foam. With the negative aspects of those more common panels outweighing the benefits; i had given up on trying to muffle the sounds of my home recording rooms.After stumbling upon this set of heavy-duty panels from the Holymuss brand i was excited to give them a try.This is just what i was looking for, because it fused foam with a thick wood then mixed with what looks like a high-grade particle board.The layering of the foam on the outside, then the wood sections mixed with the inner board material gives you a well-balanced sound board, that will muffle and contain the sounds within the room you are working on.I wish these were a bit smaller with the length but then again that's my fault for not paying attention to the dimensions. I easily was able to cut these down a few inches so they could stand upright in my low ceiling apartment.These panels actually look great and totally professional, unlike the other variations of sound muffling panels easily available to the public.The price of these is higher than the alternative options that are just made of foam, however its totally worth the extra money.I for sure recommend these panels and may order another round myself due to how happy I am with this four-panel set.This is a five-star item for sure and geared towards the serious home studio musician.
