Surprised to see the tree trunk on the left side is actually very hard plastic, which is great. Full color instructions in English that are easy to follow. You even have a pdf version of the instructions if that’s what you’d prefer. Can’t wait to get it done and hang up on my wall. ((Review updated with finished photos. I lost the little bird nest that went on the branch so it’s not pictured lol))

I’ve done quite a few kits and this is the cutest! It went together pretty easy and the instructions were fairly clear and straightforward. Some of the paper pieces are tiny! But it was worth it and just adorable.I wish there was a better way of handling the battery pack though. And the clear cover is just slightly too small to be easy to get in place.

I have been looking at these shadow box kits for a while and haven't been able to decide what one to get. I finally decided on the Home of Squirrel kit as I was searching for something else. You will need glue for this kit I used hot glue to hold the tree together. Mod Podge for background and dried floral items and e-6000 for the accessories. The instructions for were easy to read but I decided to customize it with fairy garden items. It was a lot of fun to put together and add the different details many of the items I used were included in the kit but I added some flower beads, mushroom beads, a gnome, little sprites, and my own signs. Now I find myself debating on whether or not to get a few more because I have extra gnomes. This kit is worth it just because of the options of customization you can do. The only issue I had was the wiring the wires were similar colors on lights and I had a bit of difficulty telling them apart and had to redo the lights to the battery box a few times before I got it right.

I had a lot of fun putting this together. There is no way I could have done it based on the included directions but there is an assembly of it on YouTube, which really helped, especially with wiring the lights. Be warned, this is a small piece and the components are all very tiny. I had difficulty assembling a few of the smallest things- this tiny box and pillows, which i gave up on. But it was still enjoyable for me, I ended up adding a few of my own details like polymer mushrooms. I like how it looks hanging on my wall with the lights on!

Super cute. Went rogue on the decorations compared to the directions, but that’s something I like the most about these type of projects. Definitely beginner friendly. Directions aren’t the most clear in terms of the wiring but other than that not too bad.

Made a good present

This was a gift for my sister. She loves everything woodland and I will update my review once she has finished it.

This is the fourth little build I’ve done and it is the worst. I did the Eternal Bookstore first and it was challenging but fun. I did the Mose Detective Agency and I loved it. Then I did a coffee shop that was not the most fun but made it through. But this one is horrible. Everyone is super tiny, like the boxes you are supposed to cut out, bend and glue. Or the butterflies. It is almost impossible and I’d like to ship it back. Not a fun, relaxing or even enjoyably challenging build. At all.
