Athletico Hockey Duffle Bag - 35" Large Ice Hockey Duffel XXL Travel Bag for Equipment & Gear, with Included Organizer Caddy (Back)

Love this bag and the organizer. I am a 50yo that still plays competitive hockey in a beer league "B" level, my "A" are over!!! LOL! Fits all my gear and then some, plenty of space for my all my tape, scissors, wax etc. I have seen some have complained about the mesh plastic top but I think that it is great. It allows all my gear to dry off and helps with managing odors. Although to be fair, when I come home all my gear is left on the outdoor screened in deck to air dry so I generally do not have that issue. Bag is nice and sturdy and I have had not problem carrying it despite the fact that it does not have along strap. You could spend more than double on the brand name bags like CCM and Bauer...I would not even bother as this bag is probably jut as good and just as well made. Pics to follow.

Lets see how this holds up. Im using it for ice and roller hockey so i have it packed. So far its roomy, seems to control the smell really well, and the storage pockets have been sufficient. Only issue is that the shoulder straps are way to short, its hard to hang on your shoulder especially when the bag is so full.

I’m 6’3” with big hockey gear. This bag holds all my stuff with room left over. Love the mesh. Handle straps are too short. Hard to carry in my shoulder. Longer handles or separate shoulder strap would get it 5 stars.

For the price, this duffle can't be beat. It has all the features of the premium $200 bags except for a lack of wheels, but in my opinion that's just extra, un-needed weight. The straps are durable and show no signs of wear. The ventilation is perfect to let my gear air out. The included separator for the skates are a really excellent addition with the moisture absorbent pad. My only criticism is that I wish it had an extra pocket on the other end of the bag so I could separate jerseys and socks with tape/scissors/rags, etc, but ultimately not a problem. I also wish it came in different colors because I have noticed multiple people in the locker room have the same bag. While it does come with a little ID card you can mark yours with, I think a different color would help prevent anyone accidentally grabbing the wrong bag after a few post game labatt's

Bag fit forward gear just right even with the skate caddy installed. Nice placement of pockets. Not quite large enough for goalie gear.

I would've rated it higher had it cost less, but for eighty bucks I expect near-perfection.Overall a fairly solid build, but not premium.For its giant size it has a ridiculously small amount of outside pockets. On one of the sides it has just a tiny pocket for your keys and a wallet, while one of the sides has no pockets at all.I also don't like how the inner caddy gets secured to the bag and how a lot of the bag's space is wasted because of how it's placed.The mesh on the top is made of hard plastic and the holes are giant, which helps with the ventilation but also makes it easy for everyone to see that you have a thousand dollars worth of equipment in there which can make you a target if you carry it in public. A finer mesh that's also pleasant to the touch would've been a better choice.It's really mind blowing that this bag lacks the long shoulder strap or connections for it. I've never seen an equipment bag come without one, so the extreme cost-cutting measures are pretty apparent.Like I said, I wouldn't complain if it cost a lot less than what I paid, but for the premium price it's missing too many basic features.

The bag is great! Very spacious for all my hockey gear. The mesh on top helps with keeping my gear dry, and the pockets on the side are useful to store my tape and small materials

Compared to "brand name" hockey bags, the Athletico bag has better organization features, like the separate skate compartment/tote, and superior breathability from the all-mesh top, helping dry my son's sweat-soaked gear faster.The company also stands behind their products, providing a 12-month warranty. My son somehow broke the zipper after using it for about 8 or 9 months, essentially rendering the bag useless. The company was quick in sending a no-cost replacement after a simple e-mail exchange with Customer Service, including a couple of pictures of the damage.

By far the best hockey bag I have had for my gear and I have had countless namebrand hockey bags over the years. I was originally sceptical about the size as the reason I was getting this bag was because my old bag was a bit of a tight fit. But I am 6 foot two 235 pounds and I was able to fit a full set of player equipment as well as two additional pair of skates an additional pair of elbow pads and additional helmet and an additional pair of gloves and still had a little room to spare. I also have a full set of goalie equipment and just to test it out I fit everything a goalie would need in the bag minus the pads, just to give anybody looking for that information and idea of its size. The top of the bag has a breathable mesh which I think is absolutely genius and the rest of the construction feels very strong. There are a couple of extra storage pockets on the exterior of the bag one of which is lined with a soft plush material I would assume is meant to keep your phone protected. Honestly an unbelievable product and especially at that price.

This bag is massive! I can fit all my kit very easily and I am in love with the caddy that comes with it. The ventilation is great, I'm writing this off the back of playing 3 days in a row and the kit bearly even smells and got fairly dry in between seaaions. I'm a bit in love with this bag and very glad I bought it.Literally the only downside is it's so massive that I struggle to get it through doors easily sometimes.

The bag fits a lot and is easily organized, I’ve been using it for about 6 months now with no real signs of wear and tear and the zippers are much sturdier than expected. The padded skate compartment is also great.The biggest setback is the straps are pretty short so it’s a little awkward to carry over the shoulder. As for the rubber mesh, I appreciate the ventilation it offers but it also means in the rain or snow your gear will get wet if outside for too long and if stored in a dusty place (like a garage) it’ll get dirty. That being said, if you keep your gear inside and carry it to the locker room quick when it’s raining then the benefits of the mesh would outweigh the risk.

My son doesn’t use the skate insert just the bag. He is six feet tall and all his equipment fits nicely, straps are a good length for him to carry it over his shoulder, bag seems to be well made and sturdy but he has only used it for a couple weeks so we’ll see how it stands up over time. Good value for the price.
