The Unofficial Harry Potter Sweet Shoppe Kit: From Peppermint Humbugs to Sugar Mice - Conjure Up Your Own Magical Confections Paperback – June 18, 2011

This product came in handy for a Harry Potter party that I threw celebrating the last release of the Harry Potter movies (DH part 2) It came with a small paperback cookbook that had new recipes for sweet Harry Potter treat. It also came with some molds and other small items to help decorate what you made. In the recipe book there was some repeated recipes from the first cookbook that the author came out with. However I thought that it gave me great new recipes and expanded my Harry Potter knowledge in the food area. So I recommend it highly to those nerds out there that are sick of Muggle food and want to try something a bit more magical.

I enjoyed making some of the candies with the enclosed mold, but I was disappointed that most of the recipes were for ice cream. Since I was making Christmas candies, they were not useful for me. All-in-all it was a cute collection, especially for a Harry Potter fan.

Product came in good condition and the contents are good. I've yet to make anything due to being busy but it doesn't look like it'll be too hard to do.

Not bad

This was a gift for my daughter. Everything inside for the Harry Potter fan. We especially liked the recipe book and had lots of fun trying different things.

I bought this item towards the end of the summer, and I have to say the recipes are GREAT! I would also highly recommend purchasing the unofficial Harry Potter cookbook if you're looking for more than just sweet recipes. The broomsticks and chocolate molding kit are fun if you want to make something quick and easy for your kids or parties!

This sweet shop kit is awesome. A lot bigger then I expected. I've only made two items out of this kit but they were great.The shipping was kind of slow but it was worth it . This is a great buy. I recommend this product to any Harry Potter fan.

used every Christmas

I really love this kit! As a 12 year old Harry Potter fan, this is perfect for me!It came in great time, the box was a little damaged on the inside, but it didn't bother me.The recipes are fairly simple, most do require abit of time and effort, but having only tried out three, I can't make bad observations. I must say, the butterbeer was my absolute favourite! I made minor editions- the book is American and no local shops sold butter flavour- but having used butter instead I found it worked beautifully anyway! I did need help from my family whilst boiling the sugar for the sweets, but the majority of other recipes were child friendly, most just ice cream and fancy sauces to make.The plastic moulds are fantastic! They are sturdy and hard wearing, and make lovely chocolate frogs! One of my only criticisms is the fact that the broomstick moulds don't really work. The kit comes with plastic broom handles to push into the end of the broom moulds, abit like lolly handles. I can't seem to find a way of fixing the handles into the mould whilst being able to take the lolly out after its frozen, and also of keeping the liquid in the mould! It always tipped out the bottom, but I'm sure with abit of thinking it will work.I really like this kit, the box is lovely, if not slightly damaged on the inside, but it's sturdy and beautifully made.The food bags are really sweet, and look really nice given as a little gift. It is a perfect, cheap present for a Harry Potter fan, or even for just a keen, experimental chef!I would recommend this to all of my Harry Potter obsessed friends!!

It's a good kit and the recipes are interesting. However the box is huge for the size of the contents (recipe book, pastic bags and wands and moulds) and is deceptive for the size of the moulds which were a lot smaller than expected. But it is good for what I paid and I am excited to try out the recipes.

This is the best item ever. Great little book, really strong Choc moulds that produce lovely detailed chocs. Only downside was cardboard in lay was all damaged. Would defo buy again
