I bought this book because I like Pastor Chris Hodges teaching style and I admire him. Birthing a book takes a immense about of time and effort... I knew that if someone like Chris Hodges thought enough about a message in him that he would be willing to invest that much of his life into writing and making it available to the world... It would likely be worth the read...Let me say, Fresh Air did not disappoint! I LOVE the transparency expressed in the message of this book! In the opening chapters I found myself identifying on so many levels with the thought patterns that Pastor Chris has had because of the trying experiences that he has endured... Quite honestly, it was a breath of "Fresh Air" for me just to hear someone else express some of what I have felt and processed in my own life...As the book progressed, I was refreshed with insightful, practical and applicable guidelines for experiencing God in the way that all would like to but many fail to...I think it was well worth the read and would recommend it to anyone who is searching to experience or understand more in their relationship with God...Aaron Davis - aka- The Tattooed Preacher

Amazing. This book teaches us how to cultivate the environment around us in order to have a breathing, living relationship with God. I found my salvation at this church and it taught me how to truly fall in love with God and other people. My life is incredible. I am on fire for Jesus and for His people and NOBODY will snuff out this flame.Also, I had severe panic disorder and depression before attending this church 2 years ago. Today I am walking free from both. I was clinically diagnosed with both and have recently gotten off my meds. The meds helped me understand the truth about God, process the truth, live out the truth, and permanently re-wire my brain to the truth. Is it an overnight process? No. But after a year, my life has taken a dramatic 180 and is incredible. It's funny, I just realized that Pastor Chris always says "just give me one year of your life." I did. And it is forever changed. I thank God every day for PC's humble and selfless commitment to the Lord. He is truly working through PC and it has saved my life.

Working my way through this book. Pastor Hodges does present alot of great points - many of which (coming from a Roman Catholic culture) made me realize I had fallen into at least one or two of the points he made. Grace & faith in Jesus are the key points in ones heart which God wants from us - God does simply wants a relationship - not legalism or trying to "work" our way to heaven. I can whole heartily recommend this book - especially if you wake up on Sunday mornings & think - "Oh God" - I HAVE to church this morning - this book will help you understand why you feel that way & help you understand - there is a better way :)

I'm not much of a reader. And I'm only on page 57 of this book as I just recently got it. I'm not even sure where I found out about this book as I don't typically research to buy books. I can not put this book down. My book is filled with highlights from the author as well as scriptures. This book is life-changing. I just had to take a moment to share my review. I desire to fall in Love with God.

Even though I have been a Christian for almost 65 years and filled with the Holy Spirit for close to 60 years I continue to encounter doldrums in my spiritual walk. Truths in this book have helped me refill my sails with a fresh breath from the Holy Spirit. I am encouraged to draw even closer in my relationship with the source of this fresh breath--the Holy Spirit--in my quest to become more like Jesus. I highly recommend this book to fellow Christians regardless of how long they have been on this pilgrim walk.

Chris Hodges helps you walk through what life is like in the doldrums and ways to help you refocus your life so that you can live life to the fullest. It was encouraging to hear directly from someone who had been there himself. The book reminds you of the journey of life and helps you refocus your steps as you take that journey.

I submit to you that you read Fresh Air, take it to heart, and let the Holy Spirit lead you all the more! It’s well written, thought provoking and one that you will easily glean many, many takeaways. I laughed, cried, reflected, and took it to heart. If you are a believer or not, I highly recommend!!!

For some time I was guilty of trying to follow God's laws out of a sense of obligation and not because I actually loved his Word with all my heart. From this book, I've learnt that fellowship with other Christians is vital, which is something I've been putting off. I've also aquired a new & fresh perspective on money and how we can be good stewards over our God given finances.I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who finds that their spiritual journey seems to have come to a halt.

For anyone caught in a rut, feeling dried out or stalled in their spiritual growth, this book is wonderful. Thank you Chris for a spirit-filled message that made a difference in this life!

Well worth the read.

Disappointing, seems to spend more time talking about what he is going to talk about than actually talking about it!

A very refreshing book providing new perspective and fresh life onto old scriptural topics that some may already be familiar with but have incorrect understanding about.
