The media could not be loaded. I bought these for a bit of added protection when downhill mountain biking. The padding is a soft gel like material that feels nice on the ankle and is not noticeable once it is on. For reference, I am a size 12 shoe US men's and ordered the large Xl which fits great.I'll have to see how they hold up over time, but in my video review you can see how they handled the "impact test". Useful for minor spills and or Rat-Trap pedal bites! I forget I even have these on. Should have ordered sooner. Bought another pair as they may wear out due to thin, light materials.

I was hoping that these were the hard shells ankle bone guards. They are a soft pliable material, that claims to harden when impacted (by a foot a presume). I don't feel that well protected in these, but have only worn them about 4 times. Not sure if I've been kicked in the right spot(s), where the special protection is. I might continue to try them out, but may look for another option, that provides the appearance and feel of a harder ankle guard.

He loves these things, he’s a small guy and I’m a cheap person so the xl was significantly cheaper, and I was concerned that they’d be too big but made no difference. He’s 130lbs @5’6. He never goes without these/ but also combos the longer knee/shin gform pads. And we’ve had them all now for a year, with light wear they really don’t wear out, unless you are basically having hard falls which he really doesn’t just hit skateboard hitting him.

Easy enough to put on an wear but not sure if the protection is enough with the softness of the rubber ankle caps. Need to be harder

Bought these as my son was getting painful knocks and studded and the shin pads with integrated ankle protection were too bulky around the ankle.These fit perfectly and the front pad offers some protection like my old footy boots used to with a big tongue that modern boots don’t have .He loves them and feel much more confident in 50/50 tackles

Awesome, they fit comfortably and they protect you from a more serious injury. My sport being field hockey. Absorbs a bit of the impact on the ankle bones and thus stops you breaking it like I did five years ago.

My son plays a lot of football and has got caught on his ankles a few time so thought I would try and find something to protect his ankles, these are ideal not to big fit great, they are comfy, give great protection.
