Ordered 5 of these valances from Amazon and very impressed. It took me a while to make a decision on valances and most are very high priced. The price for these can't be beat! These are layered so they are thick.They will be very wrinkled out of the package so I recommend steaming or ironing very carefully. I have them on a 42" metal curtain rod and a 54" metal curtain rod. The valance is 50" wide so on the 42" rods I pulled and tucked excess material on the sides. The 54" curtain rod is too long so the sides of the metal rod show slightly. I would recommend a decorative drapery rod for wider windows if you want the "straight look".I have included a picture of the 42" rod and the 54" rod. I have also included the 42" rod before it was pulled tight with the sun shining through. The valances definitely look different depending on the lighting.

Ordered 3 of these valances for a dining room window for my parents. They use to have long, heavy drapes on the window with shades for privacy. Took down the heavy draperies; left the pretty shades and replaced 3 of these beautiful valances at the top and it totally transformed the room. These are NOT sheer and very well made. I used a steamer to get out the wrinkles from shipping but it was very easy. When the shades are up during the day, the sunlight shines through for plenty of sunlight and the elegant valances just stand out.

It’s pretty decent quality the only problem I had is that on the side they stitched all the way up to the very top of the valance which I don’t like having a ruffle on top so I just had to pop a few stitches to where I could get my rod in the top channel.

I've been searching for awhile for the perfect addition to my kitchen window. These valances are the perfect match to my kitchen decor. I can't stop going into the kitchen just to stare at them... :). The thickness was a bonus surprise. The color is very deep. I love them!!!!

I love these valances. I ordered 4 sets to put in a bay window. The quality is wonderful - I've seen comparable items 4 times the price of these. The valance is actually two separate pieces, but sewn together at the top where you put your curtain rod. I was expecting just a piece of plain material attached at the bottom to give the illusion of a two-toned look. I gave the bottom hem a light pressing before hanging, and I think they look great!

Love these balances. We had to remodel our master bath and I put a pair on both windows. They are excellent quality and are lined as well. The picture I saw when I bought them doesn’t do them justice. They look great and there is nothing cheap looking about them!!

These are beautiful. I didn’t realize that it is two pieces, not one with trim sewn at the bottom. Very high quality.

They matched perfectly, well made, color was actually as showen, I did need to order another one it needs 2 per rod

The fabric is a decent quality, but it's not wide enough on a standard window. needs at least another 3 inches.
