Dinosaur Brand Worked While Others Did Not.
After replacing the igniter board twice with another brand to try to fix my WH 6gea water heater, my water heater still did not work. All diagnostics pointed to the board. I decided to spend the extra money and buy the dinosaur brand. I had to modify the cover by cutting a hole on top so I feed the wires in. I also bent spark igniter pin for a proper fit. The water heater fired right up. Just ordered another as a spare.

It just works
You would think the replacement part from the original manufacturer would fix the problem, but you would be wrong. Everybody recommends this one and for a good reason. My original was dead. The facory replacement would lite but only for a few seconds. I replaced the ignitor/flame sensor with no change. Replaced the replacement with this one and it's all good. This one also has LED lights to let you know what's going on. Yes it's more expensive, yes it's worth it. It was just plug and play for me. Didn't need to adjust jumpers or connections. Great product.

100 percent the solution
Something told me that I should check the water heater on our travel trailer before leaving for our Spring Break trip, but I didn't. As you've already anticipated, there was a problem. Seconds before pulling onto the highway I went to fire up the propane side of the water heater so that we would have hot water upon arriving at our campsite and... nothing.Luckily, the electric mode worked, so we had some hot water. (As with most of its type, this water heater recovers much quicker on propane than electric element.)Let me begin by saying that I did a ton of research on this issue. These water heaters are made by Atwood-Dometic, a brand that is the standard across a wide range of makes and models of RV. This one just happens to have been installed in our 2012 Keystone Springdale.According to everything I've seen online and in talking face-to-face talking with other RV owners, it would seem that many of these water heaters were shipped with faulty ignitor boards built in China. For your reference, the first three photos in my review show the old Chinese board with Dometic part number 91346. A conversation with another RV owner revealed that she had had the dealer replace this part multiple times only to have it fail repeatedly. (Each replacement was characterized by a 35-mile one-way trip to the dealer. In fact, the heater had failed so many times that she forced the issue with the dealer, who worked with the RV manufacturer to replace and whole camper!)In steps the solution for my problem -- and maybe yours. The American-made Dinosaur Electronics UIB64 Ignition Board was an exact replacement for the 91346. With a high degree of confidence I ordered this part from Amazon after reading the reviews. In the amount of time it would take to hitch up the trailer, I had the old part removed and the new part installed. The Dinosaur board included mounting screws and the plastic cover to protect the electrical connections. The mounting holes for the old board did not match the ones needed for the new board, but the unit came packaged with two self-drilling screws. The new board was installed within 10 minutes. I went into the camper to turn the water heater on -- it had ignited before I could get back out.A couple of notes: You will need a cordless driver and a small bit set for installation. This board includes a 5 amp automotive style fuse, which implies to me that it's a bit beefier than the Chinese board with its 2 amp fuse. Maybe I'm wrong, it's for sure that I'm no electrical engineer. The Dinosaur also comes with clear instructions for matching the UIB64 with a number of different heaters. These are super easy to follow -- my friend had to make a minor adjustment -- I did not as the board I received came configured to my exact situation.Perhaps most importantly, the Dinosaur board comes with a 3-year warranty which is significantly longer than the OEM.I agree with the reviewer who said the Atwood needs to switch to Dinosaur as its OEM supplier.DO NOT HESITATE to buy this product! Amazon and Dinosaur saved me a money and time on this fix. Thank God for this community!

Made in the USA with 3 year warranty
After 4 failed boards over 7 years I found this product mentioned on a RV forum and decided to try it. Sure you can get another overseas product for half the cost on Amazon, but that is what I tried 4 times with each one failing at the worst time. You can just tell by placing this board next to a OEM board or an overseas knockoff that the quality is far superior. Installation took about 10 minutes and the LP side of the hot water heater fired up on the first ignition attempt. Mounting plate used the existing holes of the OEM board. The indicator lights are a big plus if you are concerned if the board is operating correctly. Not sure why most RV part supply sources do not offer this, but I would have gone with this product several years ago if I had be aware that it was available.

I knocked off a star for the cover
Installing sucked a little bit due to no allowance for how short the factory wires are and how large your cover is with no cut out or accommodations for wire routing. Additional 4 nuts would be nice to hold the circuit board in place THEN bolt the cover on. Trying to hold the wires...then hold the board....then try to get the nuts on the cover all in a very tight space. Simple solution (to me) would maki so the plate mounts to the tank, then the board "bolts" to the plate securely, then the cover goes over the whole mess with maybe molded holes for the connectors from the top instead of trying to bend the wires (hoping they don't break) to force them out the side and twisting and turning the whole mess trying to route the wires so you can get the cover on. I was able to do it after awhile but I hope to hell I never blow a fuse!!!I'm hoping all the money went into the electronics but you need to get a better mounting design person!
