Black Stallion F9-HOOD 9 oz. FR Cotton Hood with Neck Shoulder Drape

bought this to use in my SMAW class im taking. already had my neck and ear burned from flying slag that i had chipped despite wearing welding cap on my head and having my welding jacket buttoned all the way up. i didnt want to really risk getting even more burned when i get to the overhead welding part of the class. this hood wraps around my head very well and fits under my welding hood/helmet nicely. its a one size fits all. the hood itself is nice and roomy and the velcro straps up front make it so you can adjust it to close around your face whether you have a big face or small. the bottom of it tucks nicely into my welding jacket. leaving my neck fully protected. its comfortable and not at all hot. highly recommend if you stick weld. especially if you do vertical or overhead welding.*this is perfect if you have long hair as no welding caps cover long hair really.saving myself from a nice hot burn even once is worth the cost of this item alone. and it has good build quality so i expect it to last awhile

It's a very nice hood and a lot cooler then my denim double sided one like this. Good for summer time and working in hot environments. Keeps me from getting burnt up from spatter while overhead welding. I have a rather large head so it's a little tight if Velcro is sealed up completely. Other then that I have no complaints. Very pleased and happy I ordered.

Personal preference obviously, but I do wish it was bigger in general. Returned for full refund.

Works well.face opening runs tight

This hood was a perfect present for my son who is a welder. It was hard to buy a shield for him as most of them are specific to the helmet. This one did everything he needed it to do.

Worked as anticipated; kept the sparks from overhead welding off my neck. Appears to be made well and should last awhile..

These work great while flaming granite

Nice hood with good protection I use it very often and seems to be holding up well I would definitely buy again
