Sturdy And Large
The media could not be loaded. This is thick, but breathable. It's so large, that I was able to cover my entire flower bed, and cut a piece off to use for my smaller bed. We had super high winds, and are expecting snow later in the week. The added holes with eyelets helped me out a lot. I was able to tie this down so that it wouldn't blow away. This is my first time using one of these, but I chose it because a friend recommended it, and said that it successfully protected her plants last year. I'm very happy with the purchase. So happy, that I had to come back and write a better review. Thank you seller.

One foot of snow - No problem
Order these covers, round and rectangular, for my veggie garden and flowers. The plankets, along with a trellis system, kept my plants alive during a Rocky Mountain spring snow storm which ended with one foot of snow covering the entire backyard. When I lifted off the plankets to see my garden, I could feel the warmth under the planket and all my plants were in great shape (maybe even grew a bit). I highly recommended the planket. Great product and great protection for plants.

Saved my plumerias!
I live in Central Coastal California, zone 11. I bought 2 10x20 rectangles. The 2018-19 winter has been extraordinarily cold. Temperatures dropped into low 40's in November and sustained low 30's for weeks at night with several dips into the 20's. I have put up and taken down almost every day (its now March). The longest amount of time I left planket on was 5 days. I made sure the blanket did not touch the plants by using tall stakes, clothesline clips, and heavy duty office clips and pool noodles on tips of branches to hold planket away. A few times I weighted it down with planters and bricks due to wind. So far I haven't had any frost or ice damage. Sun does get through it and it can get too hot, much like a greenhouse. The blanket is light weight, thorns can tear it, and so can tying it too tightly. The fabric does not run, but can pull apart in a tear if caught on something like a nail, screw, or thorn. Even damaged a bit it still works. Water does get through it and weighs it down. It is a plastic material so will transmit cold through to plant, that is why I staked it above and out from the plant. I am so glad I had these on hand when the temps went so cold! I will be buying a few more for next season to cover my small greenhouses for more insulation, and to protect all the seedlings I have started this year. I will be smarter next year though and make sure I use against a wall of house to give height and act as another side to the planket. (My umbrellas would tip over too often. ) I did not receive anything for this review.

Attractive +fairly strong = good value
The planket helped my flax lillies survive 20F temperature for about 10 hours. It is not a terribly low temp, but next door neighbor lost hers uncovered. Green material is attractive and somewhat water resistant (snow melt water did not go through). I scattered cinder blocks around landscaping to keep small air cushion under fabric. 4 stars only because I did tear it in a couple of spaces that I forgot had landscaping staples. I will buy another.

Best thing I have ever used for frost protection!
Very easy to manipulate and cover plants. Appreciated the grommet holes to batten it down so it never blew off even in strong winds. Didn't smash any of the plants I covered. Easy and light weight to fold and store. Great product.

Does not protect plants as described
We had snow for just one day with temp in the 20s. The other days that same week temp was in the low 30s. I covered my plants with the planket to protect from the cold. All my plants were in my patio. Upon removing the cover off of my plants, i was saddened that all of them died. I had another brand used to cover my other plants and they are green and alive. I like how big and wide this planket is , but it definitely failed in protecting my plants. I also called the seller and he did nothing. I'm returning this product. I do not recommend. It's not worth the cost.

Better Than Nothing But Be Prepared
Using the Planket's for the first time in Texas and even though we used a combination of stakes and bricks, the covers are still flying off. I should mention that currently the wind is at 20 mph with gust up to 34. We are doing everything and using everything we can to keep them on! It is a challenge.I suggest no matter what the conditions are to be prepared with bricks and stakes, we even used string to tie some of the grommets to fence post and trees and the wind has not only ripped them lose but ripped the grommets completely out. It's not a heavy duty cover but it's a cover and better than nothing. It needs to be anchored down all the way around, front and back.If your shrubs are far enough apart I highly recommend using the green bags, we are using these for the second year and they are much better unless your plants are huge. I bought the Ogori brand, their much more substantial than the Planket and don't blow around, but we still weight them at the bottom with bricks. They are the best. But for a long row of shrubs that are close together like a hedge, the Planket is necessary, it's just a matter of finding a lot of stuff to weight it down. I bought two of these from Amazon and then found them at Lowe's too for the same price.
