Dow FilmtecSW30-2540 Seawater Reverse Osmosis Membrane

We purchased two of these for use in our home made watermaker on our boat. The membranes are performing perfectly so far and we make tons of delicious drinking water from the sea. We run two in series and we make about 40+ gallons per hour of drinking water. They come sealed in plastic sleeves with a preservative so you don't need to use them as soon as you get them. Very happy with this purchase.

Not even 1 year use and my ppm are over 500 cleaned religiously since this was my second set. Low quality product !!!

Looked well made and put out 80lit/hr for about 3 months then it started dropping. After 9 months it was only putting out 50lit/hr. Wasn't sure if it was the pump or the membrane. Changed the membrane to the Applied Membrane - my last membrane - and that started out making 100 lit/hr so it was the membrane, not the pump.Both membranes put out high quality water and to be fair the 9 months the Dow was working was one of the wettest periods in history where we were and the water pretty silty. Still we changed the prefilters religiously and when I removed the Dow membrane it looked clean enough.

This membrane came delivered perfectly as described. The package is sealed, and the membrane is wet. Thank you.

I ordered these membranes in January an went to install them this past month. After installing them, my PPM was extremely high for brand new membranes - it was actually worse than my old membranes I had. I have a dual membrane water maker, so I took readings from each membrane individually. It appears that only one membrane is defective and producing high PPM water. I tried to find where to contact the Seller, Water Anywhere, on Amazon but was redirected to generic Amazon support. Because the return policy is only 30 days, I now have to order a new membrane, and not from this same Seller since it appears their customer service is non-existent.

Purchased this for our Spectra 8 gal/hr watermaker. Unlike the one this filter is replacing, this filter was shipped dry. This was unexpected but not a problem. We have been using it for 5 months now and it's great. The $195 shipped price on Amazon was cheaper than purchasing it through watermaker specialty websites.

Installed it on watermaker completely cleaned up with new filters and it can on produce 1300 ppm. Not good at all.

I resealed with a food vac sealer and reinserted into factory bag. Ok, but this failure isn’t from shipping or packaging...just poor stock. I would reluctantly purchase again, rolling the dice on the chance I have a good one shipped.
