Q: Do they steel toe caps

Mine do not., whether you can spec with toe caps I do not know.

Q: How good are these to run in? I need some to prepare for the military

No too good and the sole wear out very quickly and as an air sole they puncture and are no use. I have since had to replace them in less that 2 months and spent more on proper military service footwear. As an ex soldier these are not military grade. Hope it helps

Q: Would these stand up to hiking up a mountain?

yes they are very sturdy and comfortable boots ideal for long walks over various terrains.

Q: What length are the laces?

No idea but there's plenty left over to tie up.
