Mikasa Porcelain Antique White Coffee Mugs, Set of 4 - HK400-416

Used these to replace broken cups from the original set. The china is durable and easy to wash and dishwasher proof. Easy to hold and contains heat well. Color of the items in the set are consistent

I ordered the set to mix and match with my old Mikasa antique white set, bought couple of years ago. To my surprise the new set was not made from bone china as my old one and there is slight difference in the shade - the bone china is whiter and is manufactured in China, the new one is made from fine china and is from Indonesia. It turned out that this collection is not manufactured in bone china anymore. I decided to keep the new set, it is still very good quality and besides the slightly darker shade there are no other differences with the old set (when plates are mixed on the table I cannot tell that there is a difference at all).I like the classic rim soup bowls in the new set (my old set has cereal/soup bowls) and I like the tea cups (the old one comes with cappuccino mugs). I love the design, antique white is still my favorite design among all Mikasa dinnerware collections. I have the serveware set from their Lausanne collection (platter, serving bowl, vegetable bowl, casserole dish and sugar bowl and creamer) which is with plain design and complements the dinnerware set nicely (and is more reasonably priced).

After having had a group of mismatched coffee mugs for eons, I wanted a matching set with the following: 1) I wanted something pretty enough for company, yet durable enough for daily use; 2) They had to be suitable for coffee OR tea; 3) They had to be dishwasher and microwave safe; 4) They had to be worth the money for just 4. I chose these mainly because Mikasa is a well-known brand and I liked the color and design. I adore these mugs and use them daily. It’s so nice to sit and have my coffee (or tea) every morning and feel like I am treating myself with a beautiful drinking vessel. They ARE mugs but they feel a bit more dainty, (like a pretty cup would feel) as well. It sounds silly, but I swear it makes everything taste better. These are a good value and totally worth it. If I had more cabinet space, I would order 4 more! PS-I paid $19.99 for 4. As much as I love them, I would not pay $39.99, that’s too pricey.

Nothing arrived broken, LOTS of cardboard to keep it safe. Description was perfect, it matches the dishes I have.

We've been using Mikasa for everyday dinnerware since 2005. This was bought to replace an accidental breakage of original set. It still has the same quality look bur the marking/branding is different than the originals purchased if that matters. There is some internal "scarring" or discoloration over time probably due to years of stirring or what is poured into the cup but overall the quality is good and durable enough to every day use. We always seek a somewhat timeless style and color and it helps that this pattern/style is still available after all these years. The price on Amazon much better than other retailers. They arrived in great condition and come packaged securely.

Compared to the ones I already had, these appear to be fake, they are similar but no nearly as detailed or pretty. Don't waste your money on these.

Think these will suit my needs, but I had a set of 4 Mikassa Ultima + coffee mugs and broke one. I bought these to replace the broken one and add to my collection. These are slightly smaller than the ones I had and a little different in thickness. I believe these might be the Cappuccino mugs. They don't have the same signature on the bottom and hold just a little less coffee, so at first I wasn't sure whether I would keep them. Tried with my Keurig on the largest coffee setting and it filled the cup with just a little bit of room left. Decided to keep them as they are very nice, I can still use for my coffee, and they coordinate well with my other ones (same design essentially), but I was slightly disappointed they were not a true match - thus 4 stars. Had they been a match, I would have given these a 5 star rating.

Last year for Christmas, I received the set of Mikasa Antique White Dinnerware to replace my mutt mix of Corelle. I always swore I would only have Corelle because of its durability and longevity as opposed to stoneware. This doesn't feel quite as destruction proof, but pretty close to it. The bowls that come with the set are wide mouthed and I'm not particularly fond of them. These cereal bowls have a much better shape, but are still quite large. I bought my mom a set or the cereal bowls for her birthday and she complains that she can only stack 3 in her cabinet. I, however, don't have that problem with mine and love using them for anything from a large bowl of cereal to making the perfect bowl of ice cream.

I bought these because I transitioned my kids to regular dishes and needed smaller bowls. They match (sort of-they are more of a warm white and the edge design is off. ), however they are not the ultra strong HK 400, as stated in the description.The description is wrong. They are regular porcelain now and I fear my kids will ruin them. If you try to contact the seller it sends you to mikasa sports. These are not the ultra strong porcelain, either. They are not chip resistant. You can tell they didn't come with the rest of my antique white dishes I bought off the mikasa website.Update: kid broke one by dropping his mikasa spoon in to it. I have 70 year old noritake fine china that can survive this kid but one of these bowls cannot.

Came well packed. If you order the full set of Mikasa you get large flat soup bowls so if you need cereal bowls too these are a must.
