Marcia Baldwin is a wonderful artist, but still needs a bit of work on writing this book. It is very helpful and etc. But it could be alot more in depth.not sure the oversized book with lacking amount of pages is worth the price I paid, but the information in the book is good.

I like this book simple to the point

VERY GOOD MATERIAL EASY UNDERSTANDING BUT THE PAINTINGS THEMSELVES COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE MORE REALISTIC.

This book is good for people that want to paint oil, not so good for acrylics.... The author focuses mostly all the examples based on oil painting.... It is missleading when in the cover states it is for oil and acrylic wich is not.

More information that increased my abilities as a painter

The book is taller than I t thought. It always in NOT for beginners. It does take in series but as helpful as I hoped for a first time painter.

This book was horrible it was so abstract and it did not clearly show that when I purchased it. It is the first painting book that I really disliked.

Not what I expected.

This book was not at all what I expected. First my fault didn't notice the size, it's larger that usual and is only 32 pages long. It is sold as acrylic and oil, but is 90% oil, acrylic is hardly mentioned, the medium I was wanting information about. OK the information can be transposed. The colours are a bit garish and the canvas used must be very large although I could find no reference to size. Just how much I will use this book is debatable but for the price I couldn't be bothered to return it.

Bought as a gift for my mum who is exploring sketching and painting. She would have liked more images than text.
