Avenir Joytec/Weinmann CN520 36H QR Rear Wheel with 8/9 Speed Cassette Compatible Hub

You can't beat this wheel for the price. It was packaged well and ran true. I commute year-round in Wisconsin so I don't want to spend money on a premium wheel when I'm riding thru salty slush during the winter and rain the rest of the year.

Update: I started breaking spokes after about 3 or 4 months of light use. I have broken 6 spokes so far. Usually 1 or 2 at a time. Now the wheel is wonky and very difficult to get true. I will need to rebuild or replace it soon. I am not happy with this purchase.I purchased this wheel to replace the original wheel on an inexpensive trek mountain bike. The bike is used for around the town errands, and trips to the beach. It was reasonably true and the spoke tension seemed fine. I checked at the LBS, and the cheap wheels they had used steel spokes, not stainless steel. I am hoping the stainless steel spokes will rust slower.

Make no mistake about it, this is an economy wheel. It's a single wall and has a little friction as it rolls. But it's well made, solid, true, and was well packaged, arriving in perfect shape. It's exactly what I wanted and expected, no complaints.

Anyone who is a fairly light duty rider will be satisfied with this wheel. Hub is adequate, spokes were tight and rim was true out of the box. Converted my mountain bike to a fixed gear urban bike and the hub is perfect for what I need. Would certainly buy again. If you're looking to jump stairsets, spend the extra $20 and get a double wall. It is also lighter than my stock alex single wall and hub spins easier.

Great wheel for the price.

I installed it last year and after about 3000 miles it is still going strong. Considering the price and the quality, I would highly recommend it.
