Helly-Hansen Womens Aden Waterproof Breathable Hooded Long Rain Jacket

I absolutely love this jacket! The breathable, waterproof fabric is soft to the touch and not crinkly, crackly. Workmanship is very nice. The cut is flattering and not too boxy. It is soft enough and pretty enough to wear as an all weather jacket and does not look like a typical rain jacket...nothing rubbery or plastic. Because comments with height and weight are much more helpful when I'm looking at reviews I'll share that I am 5'4", 135 pounds. I usually wear a medium top, but sometimes large depending on the cut, size 6 pants. It took a bit to figure out, first ordering in both medium and large to see what fit best, because of comments saying it runs a bit small for USA sizing, and though the medium was wearable it felt a bit snug across the shoulders and bust. I like my outer layer to be looser so I kept the large and it fits perfectly with some room for layering. The length is great for my height, longer than a regular jacket, more like a parka length or fingertip length. I could not be happier. I can't speak to the functionality yet since I have not worn it, or tried it out in the rain, but will update this post when I do.

I bought this for a recent trip to London and have worn it a lot since. I'm 5'4", range from 135-140lbs, have slightly broader than average shoulders and tend to carry my weight in my hips and thighs. Based on the other reviews I bought a large and I'm glad I did. While I think the medium would have fit just fine, the large provides more flexibility for layers underneath (I've worn a cotton sweater, puffer vest, and haven't felt constrained). And even though it's slightly loose when I'm just wearing light layers it still sits nicely and is slimming. It's a great spring/fall commuter jacket. I've had lots of compliments. But most importantly, it's functional. The zipper pockets mean nothing falls out, I didn't get all sweaty when hiking in it, I stayed bone dry in a deluge, and it's really good at blocking the wind too - all things I'd expect from a company founded on making sailing apparel. It's nice to see Helly Hanson isn't making 'street wear' that's doesn't shield you from the elements like some other brands. Keep up the good work!

I have had Helly Hansen products for years. Having moved to Phoenix from Montana I didn’t need to have a ski jackets anymore but spotted this and it’s perfect for our winter days in December and January. The coat is stylish and classy. I loved it so much I ordered one for my daughter. As usual with Helle go up one size.She usually wears a medium ordered a large and it fit. I get a large and ordered an extra large and it fit! It’s hanging in the closet waiting for next December and I know I will enjoy it!

This jacket functioned well as a windproof, waterproof shell over 3 layers during recent winter trip to Scotland. Admittedly, it didn't have to face any wild rainstorm or blizzard. I am 5'8", medium weight, ordered a Large. It is slimline, flattering, perfect body & arm length & armhole width. You could fit a chunky sweater under this. The material is lightweight, supple, matte & non-noisy. The hood & collar area fit perfectly. Hood rolls under well but does not look too 'bumpy' worn unrolled beneath long hair. Was looking for a 3 in1, but didn't want to pay the price so did it myself, wearing Uniqlo ultra light down underneath. This is my 2nd Helly Hansen via Amazon, needed smaller size this year as lost weight. Now am seeing more people wearing Helly Hansen - price point? fashionable again?

Bought the Aden Long Jacket for our trip to Ireland. It was perfect. Very well made with a great fit...although the fit was more like I would expect a size large to fit.

I wanted a true waterproof raincoat that is durable and well-made with style, and this coat meets all of those expectations. I love the length of it. It fits me absolutely perfectly.

Unless there is something I am missing... It is a constant battle to keep the visor/ hood from from falling over my face and covering my eyes. I don't think I have a small head or a short neck..... Its a pretty good looking coat but I would have returned it had I not needed a raincoat right away. I will have to design/sew something in the hood to make it adjustable.

The jacket is not real light weight, but it is perfect for Alaskan weather. Down jacket under the raincoat and you stay warm and dry in all the weather. Fits perfectly, long enough to keep my pants dry on thighs.Going to get another one for my wife.

Brilliant jacket for walking etc - keeps you warm but its very thin and you don't overheat either. Lovely length to knee. Highly recommend. Looks smart too.

This jacket is just what I was searching for lightweight, waterproof and easy to pack in suitcase. I didn't want to bring multiple jackets when I travel and this I feel will work for hiking or a stroll around town.

Great jacket and proper white instead of cream. Nice length, mid thigh and the hood rolls away under the collar. Really pleased.

Una prenda de calidad. La he usado practicando ski con mal tiempo y responde perfectamente a mis espectativas. Repele el agua 100%. No deja pasar el aire y muy transpirable. Eso si, hay que ponerse una capa primaloft debajo ya que contra el frío no es la prenda más adecuada. Muy cómoda, gran libertad de movimientos y la largura, al no ser muy estrecha da para moverse sin problemas. Es la única prenda que me he comprado y el largo de las mangas va acorde con mis brazos, perfecta! Puño estrecho con 2 clics, se me hizo un poco incómodo usar con guantes ya que no me daba el puño para ponerlo por fuera y al ponerlo por dentro del guante me resultaba algo incómodo. Para vestir, es perfecto el puño.Si le tengo que sacar alguna pega....creo que le falta un bolsillo en la manga para meter forfait.Me encanta la parka, estoy muy satisfecha con la compra.
