Trumpet Kings: The Players Who Shaped the Sound of Jazz Trumpet

A very informative book. My only complaints are that there were many "Big Name Players" omitted, and that there wasn't enough information on many of the players that were listed. Still a great book - and I am glad that I have it in my collection.

A must-have for trumpet freaks. There were lots of folks, especially from other countries, of whom I'd never heard. I might have asked for longer discographic information. Maybe someday, he'll update it with URL's.

Great Book! All the greatest players are included, with a selection of their most important CDs.

The book is good but would have been much better with a picture of each player listed.

No wonder these Trumpet Kings play the trumpet with such soul and meaning. This book charts the back story to some of the best trumpet players in the world. Another book I intend to take back to the arctic with me to share with my nieces and nephews.

Highly detailed and one of the few Books that covers many "unknown" Trumpet Players. Well worth having if your a Jazz or Trumpet Enthusiast.

Bought as a birthday present. Arrived in plenty of time, no problems.Lovely reference book. I could do with more photos but I am not the Jazz buff, he will love it.

This book is poorly researched and the writer is clearly unfamiliar with trumpet playing and does not know enough about his sunject matter to write a book.
