According to another source: "Guaiacwood is semi-solid and becomes liquid when warmed; once blended with other oils, it remains mobile. The melting point for Guaiacwood essential oil is between 40-50 degrees Centigrade (104-122 F)." Good to know. This is like fresh pitch, very thick; managed to get a little bit out of the bottle with a toothpick. I like the scent. But, what I'm not happy about is that there is only about 4ml of substance in the 10ml bottle. The description on Amazon also says 10ml; the actual amount is less than half that. I've contacted the seller and hope for a reasonable explanation. In the meantime, I'm looking for another brand. — As you can hopefully see in the attached photo, the bottle is less than half full (as I received it today).1st UPDATE: Here's is the response from Plantlife: "Our oils are filled by weight, this is filled at 10ml. The reason it appears it's at 5ml is because it's one of our thicker oils." That didn't make sense to me, so:2nd UPDATE: I contacted Amazon to encourage the seller to change the product description to be more accurate/informative. The seller then emailed this response: "… Place the bottle in a bowl with warm water. The oil will turn into liquid form and the bottle will appear as if there was more inside." I did that, and they are right! I didn't want the hot water to remove the label, so I placed the bottle in a shot glass, then put the shot glass in a pot of water and brought it almost to a boil. After several minutes, the resin expanded to fill the bottle almost to the top of the label, which is about the same as most of my 10ml bottles of oil. I still hope Plantlife will update the product description with this additional information, especially for first-time guaiac wood users like me; I would not have guessed that it would expand like this.

Oh my goodness! When I received Plantlife Patchouli, I was astonished. I had NO idea that there was a company who actually had 100% body oils. I purchased Patchouli. I received not only the body oil but, I also received Lavendar 100% pure body oil as a gift. I am so impressed. I am so impressed with the aroma, the duration that the body oil has, after just 1 morning application. This scent is so refreshing,unique, and DEFINITELY SOMETHING to remember me by. Everyone knows that I have been somewhere because I leave a wonderful scent, almost a hypnotic, sensual trail behind.I have been wearing Patchouli for more than fifteen years. Within the past year, it has become very scarce. I used to use Patchouli from another company but,they have discontinued ordering it; just like the Body Shop. I used to buy my oil regularly and sometimes in bulk. I just happened to stumble across Plantlife while browsing through the internet. I am so glad that I stumbled across Plantlife and Amazon. I will make my purchases from companies from now on, that actually use Amazon.Com for the billing and shipping aspect of everything. Go Amazon!!!!One more thing that I forgot to mention-When my 1st shipment arrived, there was an immediate problem. Due to excitement, I was mishandling the bottle and spilled all but, 1/4 of the bottle that was left. Well, the living room still smells great and I have ordered 2 more bottles since then.Amazon is safe, easy, and works expeditously to get the products shipped. The turn around for receiving orders from Amazon generally is a 2 day turn around. I love it. I will definitely use Amazon again. I conduct most of my business on-line. This is the best patchouli oil on the market. I've tried a few of them and nothing compares to the smell.I put 1 single drop on my finger and rub it all over my neck and chest area daily. You will smell like heaven for 12 hours. I can work a hard shift at work (im a line cook) and even after 12 hours of cook gourmet food the scent is still there.Girls looooooove this stuff by the way guys.. patchouli is supposedly an aphrodisiac. Tonight at work the smoking hot ex stripper blonde girl tells me.. "You always smell like heaven and I'd love for you to take me out sometime"Plantlife is the only patchouli brand I will buy.. This is my 2nd bottle. They ship stupid fast too. I live far far from california and I ordered thsi 3 days ago. It was in my mailbox today.. I didnt pay for 2 day shipping etc. it just got here in no time.IF! you like the smell of patchouli you will love this. I've also bought Plantlife's patchouli oil soap and it too is amazing. I have a very strong feeling that everything Plantlife makes is the best quality out there.If you wanna buy some patchouli oil.. spend an extra dollar or two and buy this brand. I will be a customer for life. This stuff simply smells like heaven.

I've used various brands of patchouli oil over the years, and this is at the top of my list for quality and scent.
