Haywards are truly up to their high standards of pickled onions. They are the best of the best. Highly recommended. Take it from a displaced Brit who knows his pickled onions.

I am originally from the UK and was thrilled I could buy these here in the US as I absolutely love them and would order lots more but they are so overpriced I just buy them now and then as a treat so I docked one start due to the high cost!

It's kind of sad I am giving it 1 star because I love these tasty onions. BUT the last jar I received was open and therefore I needed to throw it away. And you can't return...

One thing I miss from England is a jar of pickled onions. These are great for a traditional English snack of cheese, pickled onions and bread.

In England we take for granted tangy pickled onions that bite back like Haywards. Since moving to America I find the "Dutch Style" pickled onions here lack that bite, and tanginess. So in desperation I pay to get these from Amazon. They are worth it! And I found a hack that works okay for me too. I don't throw away the vinegar. Instead I eat my Haywards pickled onions, then buy some of the regular Dutch Style ones and swap-out the vinegar in those for the vinegar from these Haywards picked onions. And while it's not quite so good as the real thing, it makes my pickled onion budget go a little further. These hybrids are quite tasty once they're fully marinated in the Haywards tangy vinegar!
