Love this brand of hair products more than any high price brands
This brand for "shiny hair" is the ONLY brand I've ever used - after trying countless others - this brand actually makes my hair shinier than I could have imagined - My hair looks so beautiful I could do a commercial. The extra anti-frizz serum, however just turned my hair into a frizzy mess - which was actually kind of funny. I think what really matters is the type of hair you have combined with the products you use. I have very long fairly straight hair and bangs. It looks like I have thick hair but in reality, I have a LOT of hair but each strand of my hair is very thin and somewhat weak - breaks easily and matts easy at my neck should I sweat so I'm careful to put it up when doing heavy tasks and try to sleep very carefully with little or no cover over my head or next. The breakage is likely due to using over-heating products so often. I do try to blow dry it on medium and even that takes forever and then end with drying it on cool. Unfortunately it just dries wavy - very unattractive but when I flatten it - and it doesn't take long - I get perfectly straight shiny locks of hair - at least until I go outside on a humid day or it rains. I've always wanted very curly hair so I tried those bendable plastic rollers - my white girl thin hair would not stick to the plastic rod - which after watching a very good youtube video done by a woman of color with piles and piles of hair that it was a MUST if you want your curls to come out perfect. It worked to well for her. She used a second product that seemed like it might be only for women with her type of hair but I'm going to watch it again and buy some. So, first I would rub mousse all over my hair EXCEPT towards the roots because it would flatten the hair on top of your head (which I find is true for me too) Then when I would start a curl I would rub more mousse all over the end tip of my hair trying to glue it to the rod and it never did, so I just did the best I could and towards the end I was sort of getting the hang of it so I re-did my bangs (which nobody but me seems to have) because my bangs were just too short to even get around the roller twice. I also used all the same size rod's while my friend on youtube used all different sizes without explaining why.So after sleeping on them all night - it was a little uncomfortable for about 5 minutes and I was so exhausted that it took over 5 hours of showering/shampooing/rolling my hair that it was 3 am. I excitedly took off all the rollers and began separating each curl into 2 or 3 and I realized that I had picked a size way too small. My hair was also a dull and ugly as it usually is - especially with all that mousse in it. My bangs kept tangling and even though I had rolled the roller up to the top of my head, there was no curl on top - the curls started just above my ears. But they all looked perfect. So, I took a flat iron to my mousse covered bangs, and it straightened them as well as usual, but the mousse killed all hope of a shine. So the point of this LONG review is that this shampoo/condition gives me a wonderful shine as long as I use a flat iron and leave off any product that has dulled my hair in the past (which is just about all of them). So I think I need something like an oil? I'm scared to try it again - and maybe I'll just use the spray bottle of water to keep my hair wet. Now I'm going to go looking for that little bottle of the frizz serum and see if it will fix my now very curly and kind of frizzy hair. I did this for Christmas day, and all I can say is that my daughter did not laugh and neither did her husband. Their 4-yr old son and newborn didn't notice although I did struggle keeping curls out the baby's face, and she didn't like them when they would hit her face, but I know if she was 6 months old and more awake, she would have had a lot of fun playing with them. My daughter's only comment was "the hair at the top looks too frizzy" - the roots that I tried to avoid getting mousse on but likely did anyway but failed to curl. In any case DO buy this shampoo and conditioner and see if it is the right formula for your hair like it is for mine. I'm off to go looking for that frizz serum :)

Not for my 2a barely wavy, mostly frizzy hair.
I have 2a mid back length fine hair that is almost straight but can hold a curl, INSANE FRIZZ. I've never dyed my hair and barely use a hair dryer. I have a halo of curled up frizz down the whole length of my hair but worse at the roots. I don't even wear ponytails anymore (it was always with a soft scrunchy anyway). Looks ridiculous when I wear it down. I can smooth it for 2 minutes with a boar bristle brush but then it puffs back up.This set works great for my sister's hair but not for me! The shampoo notably has a weird filmy feeling after washing it off that I don't like. Conditioner works nice. It did somewhat calm my frizz with the addition of the serum but not really enough. At least I can wear it down now though! My scalp is more greasy bc of the shampoo not working for me. I will try a different coconut moisturizing shampoo and hope it doesn't weigh it down. I have tried the curly girl method but my fine hair just looks super flat and the curl doesn't hold. Nothing bans the frizz!!! Next I will try a watery gel with my spray leave in. Anyway the conditioner and serum are somewhat effective but if frizz is your arch enemy then it's more like putting a teacup of water on the fire. Not strong enough!
