Jiva Organics RAW SPROUTED Organic Almond Butter 8-Ounce Jar

Been using raw almond butter for years as an alternative to peanut butter. In the U.S., it is my understanding that most almonds are now chemically pasteurized and treated with anti-fungal—which my husband is allergic to—most almonds make his throat itch and close up. That said, purchasing organic sprouted, raw almonds ensures these don’t have the nasty chemicals allowed by the FDA in this country (can we say corrupt government and strong chemical lobby?) These chemicals have been banned in Europe and several other countries. U.S. almonds for export are not chemically treated due to this ban, but to save a dime, the big local almond growers still hoist these chemicals on unsuspecting U.S. citizens. As consumers, the best way to remedy this is to stop buying the bad stuff and buy only the untreated, organic stuff. Off my soapbox, now. The taste of this is sweet, creamy and wonderful. I am not a fan of sugar so enjoy the natural sweetness and delicate flavor of the almonds in this butter. Give it a stir with a butter knife to redistribute the natural oils. No thickeners, it is the natural stuff. If you are expecting the hydrogenated-oil version of major supermarket brands, you need to know that the consistency of natural nut butters is very different and needs a stir upon first opening, as the oil separates at room temp. Once you stir it, put it in the fridge and it will thicken up a bit. That is, if you don’t eat the whole jar because of it’s almondy goodness! As a lover of natural and raw almond butter for many years, this is one of the best almond butters available—my new favorites, just ordered my second jar and plan to order more when my supply is low.

Physicians and nutritionists tell us almonds are excellent for prostate health, along with pumpkin seeds, etc. For me, the almond butter is not only necessary, it is delicious.

This almond butter is the most delicious I have tasted. It also tastes very fresh. I love that it is made from sprouted almonds, which enhances its health benefits. It is expensive, but so worth it.

I bought both the Almond and Cashew butters. They were so good and fresh tasting. However, I gave it one star because I clicked on shop their store to see what else they had to offer. As I went into categories and clicked on Our Company, there in capital letters was the word, Warning! Saying that their jars, bottles, etc. is lined with BPA! Read it for yourself. Why go through the process of making such healthy food then putting it inside jars lined with poison? SMH. The containers they go in need to be changed and I'll change my rating to 5 star.

This Almond Butter is da'bomb! WIcked good! The taste and texture of this Almond Butter is crazy yum! My grandkids love this stuff! Definitely will be buying more.

I recommend. Very nice taste. Texture is very creamy ( it actually drips off the spoon so it is not like some other sprouted butters I’ve bought that have more of a compressed texture and are harder to spread). I kinda like the loose texture. It spreads easily on delicate rice cakes without breaking them. BTW, sprouted butters are much easier to digest than unsprouted nut butters...which is why I pay extra for the sprouted stuff. It’s worth it to me. . And what I really like is that thIs nut oil doesn’t separate like some of the other nut butters where the oil floats to the top and makes a mess. Instead, this stays creamy and does not need to be stirred even after refrigerating. I’m enjoying it!
