Box was even better than the photos and description! We chose the blue.... great color! Very sturdy, roomy on inside and the slide box (just under lid) design is superb and quite handy! My daughter loves it.We did purchase the wheels .... very tricky & time consuming to install. If you need wheels, see if you can order them preinstalled! Otherwise, you'll have to purchase a special drill bit (size) & need a second set of hands/help to install without error. it's way to easy to make a mistake while installing which might result in enlarged holes/crooked wheels, etc. I'm an experienced DIYer, but had challenges with the installation... it shouldn't be that hard to do!

Get a cheaper tool box same size from Home Depot.

Very happy with my first tack trunk. It is very roomy and the tray is deep to hold those items that are always getting lost. I have 3 totes packed inside along with 2 - gallon refill bottles. So I ordered another one because my blanket container had reached its max. I opened the bottom of the box and noticed scuff marks and dirt on the bottom. When I flipped it over there was dirt on the lid. The inside tray looked dirty and looked like it was rained on making the sides look blotchy. Oh, and the top of the box clearly had the tape removed and retaped.Do not be sending me a returned item. If I am buying a new item, I expect it to be a new item. There was no mention in the description of the item being refurbished/repurposed. Sending back for a replacement.

We use these in our isle ways for our customers extra equipment and to store blankets. A much less expensive alternative to the traditional wood trunks.

This item says Tack Trunk "w/ Tote Tray". The item I received did not have a Tote Tray. It has what looks like a cheap dish tub like the one I use for washing dishes when I go camping. The description says it includes a tote tray, the photo shows a formed plastic tote tray with a wooden handle that fits snugly into the box and the box has a pre-formed space in the top for the tote tray. But that is NOT what I received. I received a dish tub in the place of the tote tray. A dish tub that is not suited for my uses. I need a readily portable tote tray to keep a curry comb, a brush or two, a scraper and several other items that I need to take to the wash rack when I go to clean up after riding or prior to showing. A tote tray with a handle allows me to hold the tote tray in one hand and the lead rope in the other hand. A dish tub has to be carried with two hands. I give this item a single star, and would give it less if I could, because I now have to go through the hassle of sending this hefty, bulky item back, and I also have to place an order through another vendor. I called the Manufacturer on 12/07/2010, and they said the tote was changed to Tub and this change was provided to seller who never changed the web photos or the description. SHAME ON AMAZON for not taking the time to change the description when the product changed.

My horse trailer looked like the tack fairy threw up in it. This tack box helped organize it (or at least give the illusion it was organized).It is made from a sturdy plastic, yet is relatively light-weight and easy to carry when empty. Two people could move this easily when full. The box itself is roomy but if you want to use it to organize wraps or medicines you will still need to buy some smaller containers to go in it as it is just a big box, there are no dividers or compartments inside the tack box.The tote tray inside the box does not have a carry handle or any dividers either - so isn't as useful as I was hoping for.Overall, for the price I'm very pleased. I'm not using this for showing but to organize some of the stuff that littered my tack room floor. I also put in it my emergency trailer gear so it was out of sight but available when I needed it. Overall I'm quite pleased with this purchase and I would recommend this to a friend. Got free-shipping thru Amazon and that really helped!

great buy. large storage box. solid. not too heavy.

This trunk is a good size, and holds a surprising amount. However, it did not come with the interior tray as noted in the description. I could find anywhere to report that except in this review.
