Great book for somebody familiar with framing.
I have a construction background but I have never framed a roof. This book has lots of great tips that make what could be a complicated and time consuming job simple and light on math. After reading the pertinent chapters I was able to frame a dramatic dormer, and it looks amazing!

Book okay, but online videos are better
Overall, the book's illustrations are helpful and several of the book's contributing authors (e.g. Haun) definitely know their craft, but the step-by-step instructions are difficult for a novice like me to follow. I found myself watching YouTube videos just to get a better idea of what the book was trying to explain.
