Awesome update to the even older WiiFit.
And update the the even older WiiFit. Yes, I'm a few years behind the times. Saw an electronic contraption that was collecting dust in my living room and realized it was a much neglected WiiU. Now that my kids (um, offspring?) are older the games on the WiiU just don't attract them anymore.Well, this uncool mom decided I would take it over and make it mine! Between this (WiiFit U) and Exerbeat, I am having a grand time getting the blood moving. Do I think I'll lose 50 pounds by just using the Wii Fit U? No. But, it does make a fun change of pace and is an easy way to keep track of weight and exercise. The Fit meter is an easy pedometer that keeps track of my activity and then transfers it to the WiiFit U program. So easy. Even if I'm not able to get on the WiiFit U, I know that the walking I do is being recorded and will be transferred when I get on next.Overall, an excellent product for a kid's console. Again, this isn't an intense workout. It's just a fun change of pace.

Love it!
I already had the balance board from my old wii and wii fit game, it works flawlessly with the game. I didn't get wii fit plus when it came out for wii so I don't know how many of the mini-workouts are new to the franchise. Coming off of the first wii fit game though, it's a huge amount of new, fun mini-workouts. There are still all the old great games like the soccer game and my personal favorite, hula hoop, but there are some great new games that make use of the wii u controller like a water gun game where you aim with the wii u controller and use the balance board to control your water pressure. I am a big fan of wii fit, my friends and I would play for hours and I'm very happy with this new game. The fit meter is a great addition, I love looking at it in the middle of the day and seeing how many calories it's estimated that I've burned. This is probably not a guaranteed way to lose weight but it's a wonderful way to trick yourself into getting some moderate exercise. I sweat while playing this game! I find that my balance board isn't really accurate on my weight compared to my bathroom scale it's a minus 10-15lb difference depending on where I place my balance board. Although, I'm not sure I can really attest to how accurate my bathroom scale is anyway. Maybe my floor isn't level, who knows.Point blank, this is a fun game that can make you sweat, but should not be used as your sole form of exercise.

"BREATHTAKING REVIEW."
I don't know if I gave a review for this item, but here it goes....Like I'm sure a lot of people, I was climbing the walls waiting for this game to come out. So, of course when I first had it, I was definitely excited about it...but lately, it feels like the novelty has worn off, don't get me wrong, I love the activities and the new pedometer feature is a great bonus, as well as motivator (you don't feel like you have to be a slave to your TV and only do the workouts they have) You can go for a walk, and still get your calorie burn in, and it saves it...which is great if you forget to write stuff like that down, and are really looking to finally win the "Battle of the Bulge." I do however like it better than YOUR SHAPE: FITNESS EVOLVED (The problem wit that game, is it didn't allow you to utilize the game pad separately, like WII FIT U, on YOUR SHAPE, you still need a TV to do the workout, because the gamepad only serves as a clock, of course YOUR SHAPE was kind of an early comer for the WII U). Also, while I was frustrated that some of the activities on the WII FIT PLUS were absent on WII FIT U, it didn't hinder me from enjoying it...there's new activities and now you can create up to 3 routines, which can include YOGA/STRENGTH/BALANCE/FITNESS and the new DANCE routines. A definite improvement for those familiar with the MY ROUTINE option in WII FIT PLUS, which only allowed you to create a YOGA/STRENGTH routine.

Super fun and easy, but.....
I wanted to start getting in better shape and this makes it a bit easier. I love some of the games and the exercise are easy to follow along with them. Even my kids think its fun.My first issue is kinda big for some. If you are using this to help you with a set of weight related goals then you might find it a bit frustrating. With the balance board you have to put it on something hard if you use it on carpet. I have it on a board as i noticed that my weight would go up and down daily by as much as almost 10lbs even though i was in the same clothing daily and at about the same time. Once i read up on this if seamed to be a common problem and the board seams to be a good fix. Second issue is probably the meter. It doesn't seam real accurate and there really arent any detailed instructions that i can find on how it actually works. I still use it though. For the most part we love the games and activities and continue to use it.

Having fun while exercising
I wanted to work on losing a few pounds and improve my balance without purchasing a gym membership which doesn't worked for me. You will need the WiiU GamePad controller, Wii Balance Board, Wii Remote Plus, Wii Nunchuk, and WiiU meter during different activities. I have been having a great time using theWiiU Fit w/Fit meter. The WiiU Fit has enough variety & activities (Yoga, balance games, and dance, aerobic, and strength exercises) to change up the fun. The meter has a strong clip but this is the first pedometer I haven't lost because I can store in a pocket and it still works. The meter tracks your activity (steps taken, calories burned, elevation changes) then you sync it to your WiiU which maintains daily logs.I have been using for over 60 days and the WiiU Fit has added challenges as I get stronger. As I "keep at it" my waist-line is getting smaller, I stand taller and I feel as if I have more energy. LOVE IT!

False advertising
Purchased this "new" from the seller. The game isn't even in the original packaging. A copy of the game and the fit meter pieced together. Purchased this because it was supposed to be new. Picture shows item is new in original packaging. Would have never ordered this not being complete!!!
