Great cooler
I’ve had ice stay completely frozen for over a week summer camping with this cooler in the shade. It is not a Yeti, but it doesn’t cost $600 either. It is the best cooler you can buy for the money you spend. Buy it.

Bought for using at Outer Banks.
I bought two 55 qts to replace my cheeper 120 qt. They held ice pretty well. We were at the Outer Banks for a week in really high temps. Had to add ice every day but it still had a little ice in it each morning. We were putting some warm drinks in them every day and they were opened constantly. My old 120 qt I would put 60 lbs of ice in each day and it would be gone after 5 or 6 hrs. These I would put 20 lbs in each and they were still cold 24 hrs later. They stay on a rack on the front of my truck the whole time we are down the so they are never in the shade either.

Great cooler at a great price
Bought this cooler as an upgrade to my old one that wasnt bear proof. We went camping for 10 days in hot weather with cool nights. I put three bricks of ice at the bottom and a bag of crushed ice on top of the food. Still had some ice in all 3 bags when I unloaded the car the night we got home day on day 10. Very impressed and will likely pick up a second cooler next year. The trick to keeping the ice from melting is to keep the cooler in the shade and to use brick ice and then keep the cooler full with crushed ice. As we took stuff out of the cooler during our trip we would add in more stuff like canned drinks to make sure it stayed full. We dont open the cooler much except for times when we are cooking or grabbing a drink or quick snack. The rest of the time we make sure its latched closed and in the shade.

Keeps stuff cold, and hot,
I wanted a brand that shall not be named because I don’t like their politics… and then I found this guy. A quarter of the price. I didn’t have a lot of time to think about it’s first use, because the car camping trip was coming fast. Filled it full of ice, tossed in the cold stuff, and boom.. worked great. Much longer than the old flip top. This thing is rock solid, and while I’m skeptical of the lengthy claims of coldness it didn’t even have to try hard for the 4 day weekend in Moab… still cold when I got home with ice intact. Next was the extended resting period on my smoked brisket. Nailed it… in fact I normally wrap in extra towels to hope for extra insulation… no worries here.. one towel was all it took and she stayed resting for 3 hours… almost no drop in temp. It’s a good one.

Excellent Quality Cooler
I've used this on a few camping trips now, and it's a great cooler. It won't keep ice for 7 days, but will keep it for 4 days, with me regularly opening it to get beverages out. It may keep ice for 7 days if you never opened it, but that's not how it usually happens. I've never had another cooler that would keep ice as long as this one, and I've used many coolers camping over many years. My only gripe about this purchase is that I saw other reviews saying you could get this cooler $20 cheaper at WalMart. Well, I don't shop at WalMart and will pay more for something to avoid supporting WalMart, however when this cooler arrived, it was shipped to me directly from WalMart, and had a WalMart label on the cooler with a QR code to learn more about this product from WalMart. I would have bought something else if I had known that. But still a good cooler, made in USA!

They built a winner here!
I am not a guy who writes reviews but I had to because I was thoroughly impressed and surprise by this ice chest.I’ve owned all the big name brands. I have no problems spending the money for something if it’s worth it but most of those big named ice chest are completely overrated, especially for ice retention (yeti in particular). People buy the name and ignore how they under perform. Also, once you start filling those ice chest with items you then need a forklift to pick them up.I needed an ice chest to hold drinks while fishing and boating mostly. I didn’t want anything too heavy. But, I also didn’t want the standard cheaper ice chest because they fall apart on me after a year. This ice chest checked all the boxes. Holds ice better than most. It’s not too heavy and it’s durable. Do yourself a favor and purchase one and you’ll be happy.

Keeps food cold for a week!
It was time for us to get a cooler that had enough room to hold food for a 3-4 day camping trip. The last time we went, I ended up stealing my cousins cooler for the whole week.I grabbed this on Amazon a few weeks ago, and while we haven’t taken it camping yet, it’s been amazing.I shoved nearly 200 popsicles In here and topped it with some dry ice. Not only did it keep everything cold for the entire party in 90 degree heat, but the leftover popsicles stayed frozen for three days after! They probably would have been frozen a week later, but my kids ate them all so we’ll never know.I also love that it has a spout on the bottom to drain any water and the ability to lock it with a pad lock making it both bear proof AND child proof. Maybe next time those popsicles Will last more than a few days.
