I almost didn't order one of these, but I'm so glad I did! The idea was something we really wanted for our 4 year old granddaughter. When we removed the back of her carseat, she told us, "I need sides that can come down when I'm tired.". Her head was in such uncomfortable positions when sleeping with the new seat setup.The other reviews, on this and other products like it, mostly complained about their child's head hitting the plastic bar and the fact that you couldn't widen the distance between the "pillows". After looking at every item available on Amazon and reading the reviews (none of them had large numbers of reviews), I was skeptical at best. Then I noticed one picture on this listing that said "new model" and a small caption on one referring to a "soft pad". The description didn't mention these things. (The seller should elaborate on them) I took a chance since this was the only one with mention that it might solve that issue and could be returned. Good news, it works! I've included pictures so you can see.The "pillows" do widen based on preference. I took a picture of them all the way in, as well as farthest apart. They have a soft pad the sticks on where the child's head would be on the bar. Note, that it only covers the smallest width as that's all that's possible in order to accommodate adjustments. The leather used is decent quality and can come off if need be for cleaning. I felt installation was easy and the quality was good. My granddaughter loves this and said it's comfortable. She's happy and so are we. We have a long road trip coming up and I will update this review after the trip.I wrote this review to help anybody who is looking, reading reviews, and unsure like I was. We are happy with our product!UPDATE: We did a long road trip with these. They worked great! My granddaughter rotated them up out of her way when she didn't want them and easily pulled them back down when she did. It took a few adjustments on width until we found her preferred placement. She was able to nap much more comfortably than without them. She told me herself how much she likes them. The previous reviews are for the old version. The upgrades seemed to solve those issues. The leather blends in great with our car upholstery. I'd say the only improvement I can think of is to add soft cotton or neoprene covers that could be put on and off for washing to make the surface even more comfortable for little ones. I wouldn't want them all the time though, as I love the way the leather looks with my seats. I would add them when we are going on a long trip though, and use them without them the rest of the time. We are going to make our own. This product is great!

Bought this for my child who has transitioned to a booster. Install was simple. I used it for back passenger seat which is not ideal for a child in my opinion. I wanted it for the center of my VW passat but the headrest did not go up enough to fit. Overall this item works well, my child does not fall over anymore when sleeping. So it is supportive but it is not super soft.

I have tried a few different products that were supposed to keep my kids head from flopping about m, (while sleeping) during longer car rides. This actually helps. They give you a few different grips for the best fit on your vehicles headrest. Easy to follow directions and install. Great price. Arrived on time and packaged properly.

My very tall six year old moved to a backless booster and HE commented that he missed being able to lean his head so I sought out a solution. In theory, this is a fantastic idea! Installation was fairly easy, and he said he liked it. BUT I wish the pieces could move a bit wider. The main concern however, is the middle brace is hard plastic and sits right behind his head. No matter how tall he sits or how low he slouches, his head hits the hard plastic. His solution was for me to just take it off and on when he wants- ha! It screws in so while it’s easy to install, it is not something I will be doing for my child’s every whim. I will probably be looking for another solution...

Great in theory but priorly constructed. I purchased two and both broke after 2-3 uses. When the side fins are extended out they become VERY fragile and the slight twist of your head or seat belt break them off.The metal post of the front passenger seat of a 2019 Toyota Sienna are a bigger circumference than the little pieces that come with the product. Therefore the little pieces can't be used to secure the product to the car seat. The product can be installed without the little pieces but the whole thing raddles around therefore I will be returning the product.

I don’t often write reviews but this product deserves one! For years our road trip angst has been the kids flopping heads and necks when they fall asleep in backless booster seats. No amount of pillow wedging seemed to solve it. These handy and discreet head rest accessories are the perfect solution! Easy to install, blend right in with my black leather seats, and easy for kids to pull down when they want to lean their heads. My son passed out against one of these on our first trip with them and didn’t wake up with a neck crick for once! For reference I have a 2012 Toyota Highlander and it took a little adjusting but they do fit just right and snug up against headrest when raised out of the way. Highly recommend and wish we had found them sooner!

Bought it for my son but everyone uses it. Great for travel. Design blends into the car. Bought one for the other car
