Perfect
Edit: The top of this pot slides off when pouring and shatters. I ordered a second pot thinking it was an accident but it happened again! Would not buy again :-(I love this teapot!

Beautifully made. Perfect.
I am 100% happy with London Pottery Farmhouse teapot. For me this is the perfect teapot. It is a very traditional British design, but not made in UK. The ceramic is smooth, flawless, and sturdy. The 4-cup size is perfect for our 2-person household. I heat my water in a Breville electric glass tea kettle and the 40 ounces that heats is perfect to fill the 4-Cup Farmhouse style. The green is a second Farmhouse style 4-cup. My first was the “brown Betty”. The green is a bit more subdued or drab than it looks in the photo, but it coordinates well with my green kitchen of similar color. The dark green is very close to Basil color by Staub ceramics. I also purchased a 6-cup London Pottery Globe. I like the esthetics of the Globe better but I am not able to get my hand inside to clean the Globe because the opening is squared off on the Globe to hold the tab on the lid. I am glad there is no tab on the lid of the Farmhouse because I can easily clean inside. You will want a finger on the lid when pouring the last cup. It comes with a generous sized stainless steel basket to hold loose tea, but I prefer to toss my tea in the bottom of the pot. I drink herbal tea so I leave it until the pot has been finished. I use a strainer to catch the leaves as I pour. I do realize that using the supplied basket would make my life easier, ha ha! That’s just the way I have always made tea and after 40+ years I so far have not changed. The teapots are VERY poorly packed by Amazon. My London Pottery teapot order came with a broken off spout because Amazon tossed the thin store display box into an outer box with NO packing material. Second Globe arrived OK & had a couple large air filled bags but way too little for a fragile item. My green Farmhouse was in the store display box wrapped in the thinnest imaginable bubble wrap only, then into a much larger box. It is a miracle it made it unbroken, but it did. The price has more than doubled during the “pandemic”. I put off buying it for several months waiting for the price to drop back to pre-virus pricing but I finally got it for myself for my birthday after waiting 3 months for a price drop. They were out of stock for a couple of months, and I see that my color is now out of stock again. These were very plentiful in supply and color options and half the price pre-virus, but even at current pricing it was worth it to me. I like to brew a new pot of hot tea while I still have tea left that has cooled. I use the coolest tea with ice and the newly brewed tea hot. I plan to retire my London Pottery Globe due to the difficulty cleaning it despite its cute colored polka dots on white color.

Poor Design.
So, not a great pot. I have another pot by this company in the style “Geo” which is about as perfect as a pot can get but is apparently no longer available. I purchased this instead and expected the same a attention to design as my Geo pot. But alas, not so. The handle is very small and can only accommodate 3 cramped fingers of my very small hand. The small handle problem is exacerbated by poor balance and the spout is terrible. You must get it just right or it dribbles and/or shoots out in a high arc missing the cup. I have yet to get it exactly right so just settle for the dribble. The fact that the handle makes it hard to control doesn’t help with the spout problem. I’ve no idea why the Geo model is no longer available but it is a far superior product. I gave it 3 stars because, like I my other pot, it is nicely fired, glaze is even and smooth and their tea basket is superior to others I’ve tried.

Favorite!
I LOVE this teapot. It is the third one that I have bought; not because I’m a klutz and break them but because I like the different colors and cannot say enough about the convenience of this style. This brown one is a rich variegated color. The farmhouse style spout prevents dribbles when I overfill it. It also pours with virtually no leakage. I highly recommend this teapot! I’m a little disappointed because this one arrived with a few scratches, one of which is documented in the photo. They’re not bad enough to send it back but I am a little let down just because I am so obsessed.

Traditional teapot
Makes great tea, keeps it warm especially if you pre-heat this pot with hot water before you make tea.

Fabulous old fashion teapot.
Infuser is large and allows tea to move and brew properly. Pours very well with no drips.
