If you haven’t got one of these don’t delay. Brilliant!
Decided to bring my hi fi tuner up to date and said goodbye to my Technics 1989 model. A big step! This is a fantastic piece of kit. Easy to set up. Works perfectly with existing retro Technics kit, same dimensions and colour and a clock too. Easy to set up, DAB brilliant, Spotify perfect, internet radio great just exactly what I wanted. Excellent sound through basic phono leads and brilliant value for money. 3 year guarantee as well all for £150. Well done for making something so good which has it all. A great product and thrilled with it. If you haven’t got one don’t hesitate.

Review Majority Fitzwilliam 2024 radio
Received the Majority Fitzwilliam 2024 radio as a replacement for my separates hifi system and its really high quality, Good reception on DAB and great internet radio too. Added bonus is the fact you can play music from a usb stick and also via bluetooth. Connection of this device is straight forward and operation is via the remote control or on the front of the radio. It looks great and i purchased a silver one to match with my other separates, there is also a black version. Only downside so far is the package.e.g the box is quite flimsy ...luckily mine was delivered in undamaged new condition. So far i would definately say give this a go if you are looking for a good radio...please note it does not have any amplifier built in so you need to connect this to an amplifier. Sounds really good.

A great radio, but with a couple of little niggles..
This is a very nice tuner, with a great range of features for the price, and reasonably intuitive to operate, so no need to keep referring to the manual. On switch on and after setting things up, I was very pleased to find it had found over 190 DAB and DAB+ stations, which was really great as my former and very irritating Tibo receiver would never store more than 100 stations, and with so many newer and local ensembles now on the lower numbers, I could only get the national stations by doing a manual scan, which was very annoying. No such problems with the Majority though, and that was before I'd even explored the Internet Radio option, something that I'd never experienced before, and I have to say wow, as a radio enthusiast I will never run out of stations to check out now.Just a couple of minor niggles though, and the only reason for giving 4 stars rather than 5, and that was, as others have mentioned, the crazy way that the external antenna socket was mounted into a recess that even Ken Dodd's Diddy men would have struggled to get their fingers into. If using the supplied whip antenna this isn't much of a problem, but getting the nut unscrewed in such a small and narrow space was hard work for anyone with normal sized fingers, and then attaching the external antenna was yet another hard task, and if it wasn't for the fact that the set is brand new and under warranty I would have had the cabinet off and drilled a new hole and moved it to a more convenient and accessible spot right away (and probably will do anyway at some point in the future). The other niggle, and a very minor one which doesn't affect the use of the receiver too much, is the display window, which is fine if you are sat directly in front of it, and you can see the nice clear text no problem, but if you are looking at it from even a slight angle it can make it hard to see the first letter of the names, and a slight border around the text would have prevented this.As I said, those are minor niggles, and in a receiver at this price and for what it does, I think it's a great unit, and with just those minor changes would be outstanding value at the price. I certainly wouldn't let those things put me off from buying one, but be prepared for a bit of swearing if you plan to connect an external aerial. One small tip for anyone who does, I finally got my connector off by using a pair of forceps which allowed me to get a good grip on the nut and lock them there, though I did have spanners that would have fitted, but there just isn't enough room in the recess to get a decent grip on the nut.

Truly great value for money
I have been using a Reveo Superconnect for Spotify, DAB and internet radio connected to my hi-fi for years.I spotted this device whilst surfing Amazon and it immediately caught my attention. Mine is the black model and it looked as though it would match nicely with other components in my setup. For the price, I decided to give it a go and ordered one. It looks far more impressive than the price might lead you to believe as other reviewers have noted. It was easy to setup and the sound quality is just as good as I had experienced from the far more expensive Revo Superconnect.DAB being mostly in mono, and low bit rate, sounded exactly as expected, switching to FM immediately brought high quality sound, as good as my Sony S570ES tuner.Spotify was equally impressive, as was the internet radio. I haven't tried blue tooth as I don't have a device I want to connect to it in this way.Yes, the device is made to a price, it's very light weight and uses an external wall wart SMPS. As others have noted, the scrolling rate on the display is slow and the yellow, rather basic, clock that you can have on permanently doesn't do it any favours. I've simply set mine for the display to go off a few minutes after switching off.The quality of the album art displayed on it's screen when using Spotify is actually really good, if you press the ok button on the remote, it will fill the whole screen with that image. The instructions booklet is adequate and I had no difficulty adjusting anything after reading them. There are two small antennas supplied to attach to the SMA connectors on the rear for WiFi and blue tooth, one of these broke whilst screwing it on but fortunately I have a number of small SMA antennas from other devices I own.The main FM / DAB antenna is a telescopic one that comes already screwed in place. I would have liked to see separate antenna inputs for FM and DAB as I have both kinds of aerial on the chimney of my house.Removing the screw on telescopic antenna to attach the cable for the external aerial proved very tricky, I had to remove the case of the Fitzwilliam to do this as I needed to use pliers to hold the inner retaining nut whilst loosening the external one.It was worth doing and signal strength for both DAB and FM was at maximum using the external DAB aerial. For the money the Fitzwilliam costs, I'm more than happy for the fiddling that was required to sort the antenna socket out.All other components in my hi-fi setup are high quality, expensive, the Fitzwilliam looks both aesthetically pleasing and does an excellent job for it's diminutive price tag.
